dkemp
So I really really wanna go to the City of Rocks this summer. Driving me crazy - I really wanna go. So my buddy calls me up, says Hey, lets go to Cirque of the Towers in WY. Pingora, Warbonnet, etc. He says we'll use llama's to carry our gear 'n stuff, which sounds really great (we must be gettin' old). I dont think I have enough vacation time to do both. If I choose the City then I gotta find a partner, and I'm not certain that I can find someone that is climbing at about my level that wants to go. The C of the T trip is easy - all I gotta do is show up. What to do? Its a great problem to have, at least.

specialed
Mountains vs. the Crag. Is that even a close debate?
Dru
You could go to City of Rox on a long weekend.
dberdinka
I have no clue about the time and expense of llamas but the approach is pretty chill from the Big Sandy. While you're there check out the climbing around Deep Lake (Haystack/Temple/etc) 1/10 the people and just as much climbing.
Winter
Go to the Cirque - awesome place. Use the City as a back up if the weather looks iffy. Sucks packing your shit in all that way from Big Sandy only to sit in your tent staring at wet granite for three days.

wdietsch
Mountains vs. the Crag. Is that even a close debate? ditto ... depending on which way you drove from Seattle, you could still maybe pull off a day at City of Rocks
