bouldergirl27 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 I'm new to this site, and have noticed that there are quite a few climbers from Bellingham. As I'm considering (heavily) transferring up to WWU next fall, I'd love to have some info about local climbing (spec. bouldering) areas. Thanks! Quote

bouldergirl27 Posted November 29, 2004 Author Posted November 29, 2004 When does the weather start taking a dive up in Squamish? It's gotta be soon... Quote
Distel32 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 starts around end of october but if there are 3 dry days in a row the boulders usually dry out. You get quite a few COLD and really crisp days during the winter. Thats why you have to make your winter quarter schedule with flexible times for running up to squam Quote
bouldergirl27 Posted November 29, 2004 Author Posted November 29, 2004 After being down to Bishop the past two winters I'm all sorts of ready for damn cold rock! Just worried about snowy top outs, always a good time. Quote
Distel32 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 what!? you were in Bishop last winter??? haha I was there for 4 days including thanksgiving, then again from december 9th-23rd. funny Quote
bouldergirl27 Posted November 29, 2004 Author Posted November 29, 2004 Yup, we used to leave Christmas day and stay until around the third of the new year. Celebrating new years down there is a blast... Stealing pallets from Vons and making a huge fire, nothing better. It's crazy all the familiar faces you see down there, and then up at Sqaumish during the summer... Quote
Distel32 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 definitely....I always see the same people at Joe's too oh man, now I miss joe's valley Quote
