Five of us piled into a station wagon (I think we paid for 3). No one was 18, but we were armed with fake IDs. The highlight of the first movie was a scene involving a salesman with the farmer's wife in a haystack...then a camera shot outside showing the barn swaying, and the farmer in the foreground busily drilling the soil with some big strap-on auger contraption...a classic sight gag I'll always remember. The best part was when the cops raided the drive-in and confiscated the movies. We got refunded for 5! Quote
