Just saw Alien Vs. Predator (sucks)

But the very 1st scene is a black woman in designer fur or some shit free soloing a thousand foot WI4 or 5 somewhere (looks a lot like Nemisis or something) and she gets a cell phone call and chats it up on a very very dicey tool placement.

Anyway, I didn't realize it until then, but ice climbing is really really easy now i guess. hmm, the more you know the more you grow i say. all should watch and learn.

Also, later in the movie when they are decending into the ice tunnel, the shoot ice screws into the bullet hard ice with ICE SCREW GUNS!!!

OH THANK YOU GOD! It is about fucking time that we caught up to the cliffhanger bolt gun technology.

I am now more ready than ever to send the gnar gnar this winter, thanks to Alien vs. Predator!

Also, everybody knows that Aliens don't work in the winter environment, and the Predator obviously was made for it. No contest. Frozen cam lobes vs. the most dagerous adz known to man? come on! no contest.

Yep the Movie sucks! But in response to the original query as to the location of the ice climbing. My first guess was the the alps, probably Mont Blanc area. After sitting through a bad movie I had to sit through the ridiculousy long credits to find out where. The movie was primarily shot in the UK and CZ studios. The Ice Climbing was filmed in the wee hills above Chamonix and Courmayeur. Ah Ha! should have fucking left after the first 10min.
