kioti Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 These boots just don't fit me. I've worn them twice, once on a break-in trip to flapjack lakes and parts beyond (20 miles) and the other on a flopped trip to Mt Adams (14 miles) These boots are in awesome condition, and would fit someone with a solid 10.5 foot very well, I think. Crampon compatable (newmatic style) and are fairly stiff. I am asking $135 for them and not willing to go much lower, these boots cost more than $250 new (which they practically are.) Leave me a PM with contact info if you're interested. If you buy them and they end up not fitting to well, I can of course return them (if they haven't been used more) Thanks for looking! Alan Quote
kioti Posted August 18, 2004 Author Posted August 18, 2004 Those montrail lotus' are calling my name... Help me answer. Alan Quote
kioti Posted August 19, 2004 Author Posted August 19, 2004 they are definatly a non insulated boot. I did have them in snow on a hot day, had no problem with cold seeping through, or water for that matter. A solid boot. But more of a summer mountaineering boot. Alan Quote
Stefan Posted August 19, 2004 Posted August 19, 2004 where do you live Kioti? If you are resonably close then I might like to look at them. Quote
Zoran Posted August 21, 2004 Posted August 21, 2004 I am sorry to hear that they don't fit. I have them. Very good, light alpine boots. Last week I used them for a first time on Black Peak trip (Normal route). They are soft, comfortable boots and material used is top of the line. They fit me perfectly! I think this is very good deal for somebody who is interested to have summer alpine boots. I have step in crampons and when I need that combination I use Cerro Torre's. In near future I should buy lightweight newmatic crampons (for this boots and for ski-moutaineering trips). Zoran Quote
kioti Posted August 28, 2004 Author Posted August 28, 2004 Price Lowered to $100. Any takers??? Quote
kioti Posted October 11, 2004 Author Posted October 11, 2004 Boots are still available because, according to Second Ascent, they are out of season... I need to get rid of these! Quote
Stefan Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 I guess I am still interested. PM me with your phone number. I can't guarantee I will buy. I am leary of buying 10.5 size because I know I am in between 10.5 and 11.0 for boots....and 11.0 would eventually suit me better due to swelling of the feet. Quote
Alex Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 just a word of encouragement to anyone looking at this boot, they are a great boot and a steal at anything less than 200$ new Quote
kioti Posted November 23, 2004 Author Posted November 23, 2004 I still have these boots. I NEED to get rid of them... Quote
