Dru Posted August 9, 2002 Posted August 9, 2002 i climb with lotsa married/not single girlz and their husbands dont complain... just cause you are attached to a climber doesnt mean you need to climb with them all the time, in fact, yer probably better off not doing so cause when domestic disputes spill over onto the crag and you see someone getting 40 feet of penalty slack cause they forgot to do the dishes last night, its a laff riot for everybody but them Quote
richard_noggin Posted August 9, 2002 Posted August 9, 2002 I have used the Rock Exotica soloist The Gri Gri and the Ushba Basic ascender for roped soloing the Ushba works the best and is the lightest. Sport routes: clip the first bolt with a locker and lead on. Trad routes: fix anchor at or close to the ground and lead on. Try to use a back up knot in the running line at some point for back up or just run it out like I do. Sounds like some of you are useing it for solo top ropeing The Ushba works the best for this also. You can also use the Ushba basic ascender as an ascender,go figger. Quote
Uncle_Tricky Posted August 9, 2002 Posted August 9, 2002 USHBA! Works great (solo TR), is fun to say, and is a good use of tin gleaned from melting down old Soviet Ladas. Quote
