lummox Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 like maybe the mutha fuka feels bad for totaly fukin up his job to protect americans. the prick should have resigned on sept 12. Quote
sexual_chocolate Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 yeah, right. Another attempt to get Bush and neocons out of the loop. Quote
selkirk Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 hmmmm, This must be some kind of record. Are there any high level government servents left that Bush cronies? Quote
Ireneo_Funes Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 Tenet was a Clinton appointee, not a Bush "crony" by any stretch. And yeah, it's been demonstrated that the CIA is run by a bunch of incompetents, but don't be fooled - Tenet's just a scapegoat here. If we're judging our top officials on the job they're doing to make the world safer for Americans, there's a couple other top officials who might want to think about resigning. Quote
JoshK Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 Out of all the officials that have been caled on to resign, he is just the token. It should be rumsfled and crew. Quote
chucK Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 Bush said something to the effect of "he did a great job". This administration's absolute refusal to publicly admit to messing up anything has cost them their chance to scapegoat the one guy that could conceivably be blamed for some of their high-profile failures (and is a Clinton apointee to boot!). Interesting. Quote
lummox Posted June 4, 2004 Author Posted June 4, 2004 from the washingtonpost: 'Still, Tenet's resignation signals the beginning of the breakup of a foreign policy team that has taken the country through the Sept. 11 crisis and two wars over the past 3 1/2 years. Secretary of State Colin L. Powell and national security adviser Condoleezza Rice have made it clear they will depart at the end of the current term, and Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld appears unlikely to remain in the wake of the prison scandal in Iraq and the many calls for his resignation. Thus, even if Bush wins reelection, the foreign policy slate largely could be wiped clean in six months' Quote
Peter_Puget Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 Was information circulating in such a way as to produce this apparent prediction of a resignation? I posted a link to this site before. Link Quote
Stonehead Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 Another one bites the dust... http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/06/03/tenet.resigns/index.html Another key CIA official, James Pavitt -- the CIA's deputy director of operations who oversees all covert operations -- plans to announce his resignation Friday, U.S. sources told CNN Thursday. Oh yeah and here's another take on the Tenet resignation. http://www.capitolhillblue.com/artman/publish/article_4634.shtml Quote
