Dru
So there are all these sheep and lambs in a field across the road from my office. well a bald eagle just came in and made a dive at one of the lambs which I think is dying cause it has been lying there without moving much all day? But here is the weird part these two ravens have been hanging out on a fence post waiting for this lamb to kick the bucket, and they flew at the diving eagle and chased it away. Where's Marlon Perkins when ya need him? If I had a video camera here I could be selling live feed to the discovery Channel!
JoshK
LOL! Damn, that's awesome. There isn't much wildlife outside my window save the neighbor's mangy dog and the annoying birds that fight and wake me up every morning. Bald eagles are cool. Double_E
I'm no ornithologist but I've had friends/classmates who were.. eagles and ravens have always been known to fight, have rivalries... are always fighting over food & stuff. Ravens rawk... very cool birds. Eagles aint to bad either tho.
jja
It'd be super cool to catch on video an eagle swooping down and carrying off a small animal - like your dying lamb. I wonder how much it could lift, maybe 10, 15 lbs? my view is much less majestic, I'm looking out over a sea of empty cubes. where'd everyone go? why am I still here? JoshK
I found a squirril at 12k on mount adams once. Couldn't figure it out until I realized some bird caught him then couldn't hold on.
chucK
I found a couple ticks on me after climbing Infinite Bliss last week and we checked 'em out with my daughter's microscope. That was pretty cool. Those things are pretty intimidating when magnified 60 times!

Of course the farmer will blame the eagle for killing it. The northwest Native American tribes hold both species as central to their cultures. cracked
I like how ravens are pretty much the only animals that know how to avoid cars. Hop to the shoulder of the road, and wait until the car passes. Something that s and deer never figured out.

You know, you see dead possum, dead deer, dog, cat, etc... why never crows? Cause there's always one up in the tree nearby, ready to say "cawwrr! cawwrr cawwrr!!" PS: TGIF, all y'all biiaatches!!!!!!!!!!!!!
