fleblebleb Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 I'd like to rent/borrow/steal one for a week but have no idea how to go about it. Hints anyone? Quote
Lowell_Skoog Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Once upon a time you could buy weather radios cheap at Radio Shack. I bet they still carry some. Try the Northgate store. Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 I got one you can barrow. The cost about $30. They are verry handy for trips. Quote
Beck Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Are you just going out for a week? Why not just buy one, they work all over the country. You can also get little AM/FM jogging type radios, or CD players with weatherband on them now. I bought a little joggers radio for $10.00, and it lets you tune in some AM c&w or 'inspirational programming' when tentbound, the weather's crappy, and you are getting sick and tired of listening to a computer say "Showers, freezing levels dropping to the surface. fleblebleb Posted May 21, 2004 Author Posted May 21, 2004 Cool, thanks guys! Dave, I'll take you up on that, then I can get my own after seeing how indispensable it is I've never used one... Quote
Dr_Crash Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 If you also want to get an FRS radio, some of them (e.g. the Motorola Talkabout T5950) come with weather radio. A pair will typically set you back $40-$60. drC Quote
