John Frieh Posted June 15, 2004 Posted June 15, 2004 I should clarify: pictured is what I am recording to as the SL-DZ1200 (pictured) has more control to address such things as rpms and such. I spin the original record on a 1210 M5G. Everybody happy? Quote
scott_harpell Posted June 15, 2004 Posted June 15, 2004 We outta have a vinylphile cc.com party. There are probably at elast 1/2 a dz. kicking around here. Quote
sk Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 Not just a record player...  I am still experimenting with recording devices for getting it from vinyl to CD, but once I get things squared away (i.e happy with the final product… currently the sound quality is diminished greatly in the process) I would be glad to help out (especially since I can keep a copy of your records). I have been looking for a way to digitize my collection. I have LPs that you just can't buy on CD. if you are seriose send me a PM and we will discuss terms Quote
John Frieh Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 I have LPs that you just can't buy on CD. Â That's what got me into vinyl also! I couldn't live without having all the remixes to "Cry me a river" and some were only on 12" and 7"... extended club remix! Â Once I reach a point that I am happy with the end product I will get a hold of you. Currently I am trying different software packages. Talk to you soon! Quote

Dru Posted June 16, 2004 Author Posted June 16, 2004 i heard a rumor off white has some vinyl-to-cd set up  a dj friend of mine can do it but he's too busy to spend 2 days burning copies of all my vinyl for me Quote
John Frieh Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 The sad part is I actually own some JT on vinyl... I tell people it’s only for the neptune beats but…  everyone deserves a guilty pleasure right?  I'm happy to do it for whom ever once I get things squared away... Quote
cracked Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 Wow, you people are OLD. I thought only my parents still had vinyl records. Â I don't think I've listened to one in my life. Quote

John Frieh Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 Let this be another lesson to you Paul. Â I hope you are taking notes... Â Vinyl = music not available on CD Vinyl + 1s,2s, and 3s, mixer and creativity = musical instrument Quote
