ChocChick Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Anyone know the condition of Observation Rock right now (the ice portion)? If so, please PM me. Thanks! Quote
mattp Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 I don't think you'll find any ice there at this time of year but it might be a good ski tour. Quote
klenke Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Oh, the ice is there all right. It's just under five feet or more of snow. The Ice Route is a late-summer/early-fall climb, as you know, since you've done it at that time. A good ski tour for sure. How is access to Mowich Lake right now? Quote
ChocChick Posted April 28, 2004 Author Posted April 28, 2004 That's what I figured. Just wanted to get out locally and swing my picks. Guess I will have to wait for awhile. Thanks! Quote
gotterdamerung Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 You gotta climb faster than you did LawGoddess to enjoy it. Pokey. Quote
thelawgoddess Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 who said i didn't enjoy the climb? the descent in the dark wasn't overly fun, but the climb itself was great. it was just the aftermath (after leaving the trailhead on the way out) that was disturbing. Quote
sobo Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 Do I hear a banjo duet in the background...? "This river don' go ta Aintry, boyah" Quote
