Dave_Schuldt Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 So are you going to tell us where this is? Quote
JoshK Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 Whoa, the pic kind of makes me dizzy... You can't tell how steep it is from the pic tho. Quote
Dru Posted April 17, 2004 Author Posted April 17, 2004 it's a steep slab. the trees are all vertical Quote
jordop Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 If that's where I think it is . . . good freakin luck Quote
Dru Posted April 17, 2004 Author Posted April 17, 2004 yeah, but you have absolutely no idea where it is Quote
Dru Posted April 17, 2004 Author Posted April 17, 2004 distel did you see the RP grafitti at lower right...TRAD!! gear placing!!! Quote
Dru Posted April 17, 2004 Author Posted April 17, 2004 See yer fuking prob is that yer conflatin areola pics. You sends bling on LOCALE recon then sprays on REMOTEEE amateur pics. So to your and your parlour tricks i sure fooled you sucka OK the deal on this rock is that i flew over it heading north from Campbell River. there is boat access to the base. boy there is actually a lot of sweet unclimbed clean rock accessible from boats in the Johnstone Straight area. so get sailing and look out for Quote
Distel32 Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 yeah but RP's hurt the rock. my pads only hurt the grasses feelings Quote
thrutch Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 Actually Distel, I believe you are incorrect on your point. An RP is in theory a clean piece of climbing protection and should not leave a permenant scarring to the rock, unless one falls and in that case the chances of the damage being noticible is minimal. Whereas your pad and the pad of countless other boulderers creates soil compaction and the base of boulders and kills off the plant matter which resides there. So I think the pad would create more of an impact to the local enviroment then a RP placement. Granted I own a pad as well, so I am just as self serving as the next boulderer/climber. Quote
Distel32 Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 oh no I was just kidding about the rp. just trying to poke at Dru a little Quote
