MrDoolittle Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 If Kerry Wins, Bush Could See Jail Time But beyond that, there is also emerging a possibility far more sinister. It is the theory that dares not be spoken because it is implies such an unbelievable form of treason, the mention of it is still only tolerated on the fringe edge of conspiracy theories. This is, of course, the notion that some radical zealots in the Bush Administration deliberately ignored the threats of a terrorist attack -- perhaps not fully realizing its intended scale -- in order to receive the mandate to attack Iraq, seize its oil and place military bases. And that Iraq was meant to be only the first step in a plan to expand our military reach, force regime change in nations that resisted U.S. influence, and seize natural resources wherever possible. This still "heretical theory" also holds that a terrorist attack, unchallenged by Air Force planes (for instance), would have allowed the Bush Administration to seize unprecedented centralized government powers and the ability to conduct its consolidation of anti-democracy initiatives in secrecy, as Constitutionally-guaranteed liberties were curtailed. And that such an attack would leave Bush with a mantle of wartime leadership such that he would be politically unassailable. Quote
catbirdseat Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 Even if true, and it probably is, it could never be proven, so don't worry about it. Quote
MrDoolittle Posted April 1, 2004 Author Posted April 1, 2004 (edited) emails, memos, it's all still there. These fuckers will go down, and then they'll have to go down on Bubba, their new cell-mate. Nixon got busted, Clinton got busted, Reagan got busted, Bush will get busted too. These fuckers think they are above it all, but they end up getting what they deserve in the end. And now they're starting to say that "there was no evidence that the government possesed to lead them to beleive that this type of attack was about to take place." HELLO!!! Saubi Arabian nationals known by the FBI to be taking flight lessons, but with no interest in learning how to land???? And why hasn't Bush set up and Independent Counsel to investigate? What's he afraid of, if he's so squeaky clean? Edited April 1, 2004 by MrDoolittle Quote

chucK Posted April 2, 2004 Posted April 2, 2004 More to fuel the fires! According to this story: Another "whistleblower" says she translated documents that indicated using planes to hit skyscrapers. Now the Bush administration is allegedly trying to put a gag order on her. Quote
Fairweather Posted April 2, 2004 Posted April 2, 2004 LISTEN TO YOURSELVES! You guys sound like a bunch of the same conspiracy wackos you derided just a few short years ago. ...reminds me of the "FDR knew about the Pearl Harbor attack in advance" conspiracy theory. What utter garbage. Catbird, I expect this from the others here...but you too? Quote

j_b Posted April 2, 2004 Posted April 2, 2004 an interview with the translator mentioned by chuck. worth reading. why isn't this in the major media? http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=04/03/31/1616221 i am not sure why speculating that someone deliberatly ignored the terror threat is necessary. bush a) ignoring the terror threat to pursue his agenda and b) using 911 to push through his agenda is a much more likely explanation.
