jon
I just spent too much on a rack for my car. One of the pieces for one of the bike holsters was had a manufacturing flaw in it so I gave Thule a call. The guys said he would have the part out no questions asked and it just showed up, about a week later. That is customer service.
olyclimber
That's why the rack was so expensive...they have to produce twice of everything to get it right....
willstrickland
You wanker, giving your hard earned dollar to the Swedes! Jon is singlehandedly increasing the trade deficit. Buy Yakima, proudly based in Eureka, CA and keep America working.
jon
Will, tell Yakima to make some towers that fit actually fit on my factory rack.
willstrickland
What are you driving a Volvo or a Saab, swedey? Â Actually, since GM owns Saab and Ford owns Volvo...hmmm, maybe Yakima already owns Thule
jon
No I traded in the Volvo for a Sub. The Yakima towers work better with square factory racks and the Thules fit better on the curved ones found on the Subaru.
iain
also tell them to not charge $50 for a fricken metal pole
jon
Iain it's covered with rubber, that adds another $30 right there. Â I have to say the markup on this stuff is crazy, I got it at just above cost and lets just say that it was less then half of retail. Dru
why is Yakima based in Eureka? What next - Metolius will be based in SLC?
willstrickland
Dood! I got Yakima towers on my Suby curved factory rack, they fit great. Yakima is actually in Arcata, across the bay from Eureka, but has always been there. The company was named after the river, but was never in WA. Â Jon - closet socialist since 1999.
