Jens Posted March 25, 2004 Author Posted March 25, 2004 Since this seems to morphing into a what is hard thread, I might guess that the hardest wide routes might still be yet to be discovered? Perhaps it is hidden in some gully or in some obscure drainiage in the greater Mt.Stuart batholith region? Or it could be hidden under some granitic roof in the same region? As for the hardest I've done on TR, Supercrack at 11worth. To narrow for Leavittation and arching to the right in an odd way that leading with the feet wasn't in the cards. It might seem that basalt, andesite, and other such formations provide lots of face holds to get through tough sections? Anybody ever puke in a wide crack out of sheer full body exhaustion? Quote
RyanTriplett Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 There is a hard and wide .12d Skinner crack at the top of Gilvers, up from Bo Derek ... Quote
RyanTriplett Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 I wouldn't call "Tunaboaters" a wide crack - more like fingers off the ledge with a lieback/corner finish Quote
crazyjizzy Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 MattP, Where did you get that picture of "Goddamn Bob Vaughn" at Castle? Quote
Gary_Yngve Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 Doesn't TunaBoaters at Index have some kind of hard flaring wide crack on it? How 'bout that last pitch of GM (Yes, I know its only 5.9 but few people would call it "easy," me thinks)? Yeah, that last pitch of GM is pretty burly. Quote
mattp Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 That is no picture of Mr. Vaughn, JZ. It's Chris Greyell. Quote
Dru Posted April 2, 2004 Posted April 2, 2004 i don't think anybody has mentioned kjell swedin yet as wide crack master. you have only to consider the SCIMITAR on the backside of the chief though, to bow in awe. Quote
