Here's to the SHARKS! [ 05-07-2002, 10:51 AM: Message edited by: Dan Harris ]
Cpt.Caveman
Dan I am with you on the sharks to beat Colorado. I hate both teams though and predict that whoever wins between St Louis and Detroit will kick the Sharks in the GONADS if they make it. I guess we'll just have to see though. Never know
joekania
The only thing bad about the Sharks advancing is the Wings won't have the oh-so-sweet opportunity of depriving the Nordiques/Avalanche of yet another year of driving around with the Stanley Cup picking up chicks on Rodeo Drive. bonehead
How's about the America's Cup?!??! Now there's something to get excited about..... Why is Olympic hockey so much more fun to watch than pro?? At least to me. It seems to mean so much more...

The Olympic game is more wide open, more passing, less hitting. I like the Olympic game too. I wish the NHL would go to a larger rink. joekania
Olympic hockey also has a 15 second rule between whistle and face-off that keeps the game moving, no TV timeouts.
David_Parker
Actually, various teams have various sized rinks in the NHL. Edmonton has the biggest, Boston used to (Boston Garden) have the smallest. Smaller rinks promote more hitting and thus fighting. I like the bigger rinks and the style of play that results. Also, in the Olympics, generally there is no "bad Blood" history between players, so they dont fight.
