Jim Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 I'm sure this commission will dig hard President Bush today said he would appoint a panel to look at prewar intelligence and what the team hunting for Iraq's weapons has found. Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle repeated his call for an independent investigation, saying Bush will "dictate the design and ultimately the circumstances under which they do their work." Quote
murraysovereign Posted February 3, 2004 Posted February 3, 2004 He probably doesn't care if they dig hard , just so long as they do it slowly . As in: "I don't care what your final report says, as long as it isn't finished until well after Election Day." It gives him the perfect dodge for the rest of the year, because naturally it would be wrong for him to answer questions about his non-existent excuse for launching a pre-emptive war until the Commission of Enquiry has completed its work. It's classic political strategy. Quote
chucK Posted February 3, 2004 Posted February 3, 2004 Bush might wanna rethink continually making the CIA his scapegoat. They might come up with an October suprise of their own. Quote
Stonehead Posted February 3, 2004 Posted February 3, 2004 Look, the report will say that Bush got his info directly from God. How can you argue with the Supreme Being? Quote
catbirdseat Posted February 3, 2004 Posted February 3, 2004 Sounds like a win win for Bush. Who says he's an idiot? Quote
Stonehead Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 Your avatar image reminds me of that Bugs Bunny episode where Elmer Fudd and Bugs are in the remake of one of Wagner's operas. "Kill the wabbit! Kill the wabbit!" Quote
EWolfe Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 this is a good start to clearing the fog of fear and deception. Quote
