Billygoat Posted October 21, 2003 Posted October 21, 2003 I'm running XP. This isn't happening on other sites. It seems like I visit this one and then my machine starts to slow down. Must be that evaporatemoretimeatworkwhileyousprayoncc.com virus. Quote
Dru Posted October 21, 2003 Posted October 21, 2003 did you just install an update or something? Quote
Billygoat Posted October 21, 2003 Posted October 21, 2003 I did last Friday, a microsoft one, but this has happened before. I might try a system restore to last Friday, but the question remains, why does it solely begin when I log onto this site? Quote
Dru Posted October 21, 2003 Posted October 21, 2003 i dunno but i have trouble browsing cc.com with updated Explorer on XP machines so I always use a 98 running Explorer or Opera on my XP system. with Xp and Explorer I always gat error messages, and have to hit refresh after every post... Quote
iain Posted October 21, 2003 Posted October 21, 2003 it just can't handle that number of posts my friend! you need some custom explorer build from redmond to handle the throughput. Quote
jon Posted October 21, 2003 Posted October 21, 2003 I've only seen the problems on a Windows machine, no problems on Safari. Go Figure. Quote
fern Posted October 21, 2003 Posted October 21, 2003 I have had the problem of the graemlins not loading and other image loading related problems on my Unix machine, running Solaris. And I can't look at the photo gallery on it either because my "browser is not enabled" ... so it's not some poisonous gallery conspiracy virus for me like Billygoat suggested. I'm not complaining though, everything is peachy Quote
