layton Posted October 2, 2003 Posted October 2, 2003 (edited) There's a selection of CAJ's in the Western WA Univ library with a review of mixed routes at Blackcomb. I think the article is entitled tounge in cheek, "Chamoniox of N.America" or something similair. Look good. How come I've never heard of this man made ice park??? jordop Posted October 4, 2003 Posted October 4, 2003 Topos for "the Farm" are at the Escape Route in Whistler. Also info on Showcase Spire, and two other buttresses put up this summer. Looks fun; someday it may be worth the $$$ bling to ride the lift up to go climbing Quote
wayne Posted October 17, 2003 Posted October 17, 2003 I got half way up that 29-forever, Its cool, but there was a pillow of crap I couldnt pull on the 3rd pitch Quote
fern Posted November 28, 2003 Posted November 28, 2003 the water supply pipeline at 'The Farm' burst, it's unlikely there will be much farmed ice there this year. Quote
glassgowkiss Posted December 3, 2003 Author Posted December 3, 2003 so are they i this year already? Quote
fern Posted December 20, 2003 Posted December 20, 2003 The water supply problems have been fixed. So as long as alpine temperatures are low enough on Blackcomb, the mixed routes at The Farm should sport some ice. Quote
