Gets 60 MPG

I don't understand why more people don't buy the TDI VW's? They are so much more practical. A Co-worker drove his TDI from Seattle to Denver and got 57mpg averaging 78mph. Cost is less and you get more car for the money, can put a roof rack on and if you get the Jetta station wagon, a place to sleep.

Does this car have a crap load of earth unfriendly batteries? The TDI's only need a battery to start the car and get about the same gas milage....

That's funny, because when we called the VW dealership during research, they said the TDI only gets 32 MPG. I wonder how your co-worker got that "extra" 25 MPG... rolleyes.gif

wood burning vw!

Yes my dream will be a reality one day!

All I can say is if you buy one of these things make sure they throw in a tow behind wood splitter, otherwise you're getting ripped off. wink.gif

An interesting sidenote: can't put racks on them due to the balance of airflow and power.

I figure its got to be a bad sign if the car can't handle hauling a freaking Yakima rack. thumbs_down.gif

Can it haul a driver if he's had a meal in the last 5 hours? confused.gif
