JasonG Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 Just wondering if it makes things much harder traversing the opposite direction from the norm. . . . Thanks for any info! Quote
schnitzem Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 Aesthetically the traverse is much more impressive when you have Forbidden in front of you rather than the chossy ridge of Torment in your face. That and it is very anticlimactic to end on Torment. Technically: getting onto Torments SE face from the ridge is tricky and descending off of Torment is a pain (3-4 crappy raps). Anyway just some thoughts......... Quote
robertm Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 The Forbidden Torment sounds cooler though Quote

I found that doing the S Ridge of Tormet to gain the upper face and the entrance to the traverse was kind of a chore and not really worthwhile, and I would rather climb direct up the SE face next time. Off_White Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 What about NW Ridge of Torment as a start? It's directly in line with the traverse, seems a little more true to the spirit of the thing than the S Ridge. Quote
