fenderfour Posted April 26, 2004 Share Posted April 26, 2004 My friend had a prcedure done where an electrical charge went under the toenail and blasted the offending bit of keratin off. The electric charge creates a layer of steam under the nail and -POP- off goes the nail. It has grown back, but only as a gimpy 1/3 size nail that gives him no probs. rbw1966 Posted April 27, 2004 Share Posted April 27, 2004 I have the ugliest big toenail. I had problems with ingrown nails on both sides when I was a teenager. The doctor finally did somethign surgically that prevented growth from recurring on both sides. I was left with a narrow blade of a nail. Shortly thereafter I slammed a shovel into my toenail totally fucking it up. Now its gnarled, discolored and I routinely have it removed because its just so damn ugly that its better to not have it at all then deal with the remarks it generates.
