Ursa_Eagle Posted July 16, 2003 Posted July 16, 2003 why is Multnomah off-limits? Tourons would want to try it, get hurt, and sue? Quote
wayne Posted July 16, 2003 Posted July 16, 2003 Its all State park policy , for actually good reasons. Ice climbing is not allowed within 3 miles of the falls. Most of them are visible from the crowded ,ped filled and slipery, narrow road. They havent enforced it except right near the falls or if you are not visible from touron station. THey close the trail often for ice reasons when its cold. There are some great climbs near mult. And if Mult itself actually freezes again(as it did in79) , I will race you for it . I will not retreat unless I want to! Quote
Terminal_Gravity Posted July 16, 2003 Posted July 16, 2003 Climbing Multnomah illeagally has to be alot less harrowing than climbing a Pakastani peak without a permit. Oh yeah, I forgot, such a thing has never been done --- Oops, I shouldn't be writing this. I'm still on probation for climbing on Beacon rock on Feb. first. Look for the new line of Camo climbing shells and ropes coming to a retailer near you! Quote
cj001f Posted July 17, 2003 Posted July 17, 2003 iain said: do they come in safety choss orange? That's the post-arrest climbing suit! Quote
