WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Enigma Gully

Recommended Posts

Has anyone been up the Enigma Gully recently? Thinking about going up that route this weekend and was wondering how much snow was in the gully. Hmmmm, maybe if the avy conditions aren't too bad we'll make the first descent of the Enigma in a Tobogan hellno3d.gif

P.S. Does anyone know any good tricks for stopping a Tobogan on a 50 degree slope?? confused.gif

This is a little late, but.... We skied the Slot on the 14th of this month. There's plenty of snow. It's a good, sweat-inducing slog up to the top, but the run is sweet. We had a great run back to the Alpental lower parking lot too. Set off a few slush river/slides and managed somehow to bushwhack our way down the cliffs at the bottom (the waterfall I guess).
