allison Posted April 3, 2003 Posted April 3, 2003 I went to Trader Joe the other day and they didn't have any of the Charles Shaw wine we have all grown to love as the best 3$ bottle of red you can get. Fortunately they have this Argentine stuff called "Boca", a Cab, a Merlot, and a Malbec. At the princely sum of $2.99, I would skip the Merlot and the Cab, they are mere pretenders to the throne. Hail to the Malbec! Even better than the Charles Shaw Cab! Quote

I went to Las Lenas a couple of years ago and from Santiago to Mendoza to San Rafael to Las Lenas, we went through god knows how many bottles. Just as well cos the little mini-van we took over the Andes was driven by some crazy Chilean who probably couldn't see anything due to all the locals smoking like chimneys in the van with the windows closed. Malbec saved my life it did...honest. Quote
