I have a cam with broken trigger wires. Anyone have this problem before and how did you fix it. Any info is good!

Thanks in advance bigdrink.gif

If its a WC Friend or a Costalot you can buy replacement triggers and wires from your friendly local outdoor retailer. If not you might have to send it back to manufacturer or call them up to see if they sell replacements.

You can also purchase trigger assemblies for rigid stem Friends.

I recently bought some for some older versions. The diameter of the bar was wider than the older version, so I filed it flat to fit the narrower slot.

For diy info, here's a link to Dawn Alguard's website with a compendium of other people's answers to this question (mostly from rec.climbing) Trigger Repair as well as a list of where to send out for repairs Trigger Repair Shops

I've replaced wires on a bunch of old friends with great success. I did have to slightly drill out the old wire hole since the new cable was a wee bit bigger than the old.
