sk Posted March 13, 2003 Author Posted March 13, 2003 I have come to understand that no matter how much I LOVE to climb, I will never be more than mediocer and I am okay with that... besides... that may not always be the case.... Quote
Gordonb Posted March 13, 2003 Posted March 13, 2003 I think massage would help your climbing. The masusses that I know have very strong hands. I would think that it would help you hang from the smallest nubbins of smiffy tuff. Quote

Bronco Posted March 13, 2003 Posted March 13, 2003 I got a massage by a climber chick a few times, she said she couldn't really climb cracks very hard anymore with out worrying about getting big gobbies on her hands and scaring her clients that she might be a lepper or something. She mainly climbed in the gym anymore. Quote

Greg_W Posted March 13, 2003 Posted March 13, 2003 Tape will fix that. An added bonus: if your tips are roughed up they get a looffa treatment at the same time!!! Bye bye dead skin!!! Quote
Gordonb Posted March 13, 2003 Posted March 13, 2003 Just make sure you tape well. That should take care of most of it. Quote

catbirdseat Posted March 13, 2003 Posted March 13, 2003 I met a couple who were both climbers and physical therapists. They were big on crack climbing too. They just tape up really well and use lotion afterwards. They told me that good technique is the most important thing in avoiding gobies. Quote
