tomcat Posted March 10, 2003 Posted March 10, 2003 OK, I guess I should have expected this from Author's Hour, but this interview is D-R-Y. There's nothing wrong with history, but I thought it might be more like a bio about Beckey and the how he tics. Oh well, Beckey rocks nonetheless. Quote
tomcat Posted March 10, 2003 Author Posted March 10, 2003 I spoke too soon .. the second half hour is very interesting. Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted March 10, 2003 Posted March 10, 2003 Fred mentioned nervousness due to the interviewers' questions and approach. I think Fred was anticipating a different interview mentality. I'll be climbing with Fred this summer and having fun. Let's just hope we all see another 20 years of 1st ascents! Quote
To_The_Top Posted March 10, 2003 Posted March 10, 2003 I think Fred did a great job. He knows his stuff Quote
tomcat Posted March 10, 2003 Author Posted March 10, 2003 He seems like he's still in awesome shape .. I hope I look that good at 59 Wow right on Cpt.Caveman .. that must be pretty cool to climb with a NW legend. I bet some of his stories are quite entertaining. If I went climbing with him he might get sick of all the questions I had for him. Quote
JoshK Posted March 10, 2003 Posted March 10, 2003 I thought it was awesome. Fred did great. I actually have to say even the 1st half hour I found interesting. You have to imagine they would ask some questions like that considering the book is more of a historical account than an adventure read. That interviewer was quite a tool tho. Quote
