Dru Posted February 15, 2003 Posted February 15, 2003 Having computer problems at work (go figure) and was wondering how you pronounce "reboot" in Canada? Thanks Reboot: An award winning animated show about the wacky goings on in the city of Mainframe. Produced in Vancouver by some cheap ass bunch of animators. Quote
catbirdseat Posted February 15, 2003 Posted February 15, 2003 Remember, about and reboot rhyme, but only if you are from North of the border. Quote
Dru Posted February 15, 2003 Posted February 15, 2003 About rhymes with doubt, and reboot rhymes with pollute. But when an American says "Mom" it rhymes with Bomb Quote
allthumbs Posted February 15, 2003 Posted February 15, 2003 it's okay Dru, we luv ya and everyone knows Canada is the 51'st state of the U.S. Quote
glacierdog Posted February 15, 2003 Posted February 15, 2003 It's closer than Alaska. In a lot of ways. Quote

catbirdseat Posted February 15, 2003 Posted February 15, 2003 Please don't change to be more like us dopey Americans. It would be a much more boring world. It would suck if everyone had the same Detroit accent as the anchor of the evening news. Quote
allthumbs Posted February 15, 2003 Posted February 15, 2003 Catbird, that's the dumbest thing you've said yet. Quote
catbirdseat Posted February 15, 2003 Posted February 15, 2003 I don't doubt that I'll say dumber things in the future. But I mean what I say about the crushing sameness of modern America. Everywhere you go, everything is the same. The same clothes, the same MacDonalds, the same WalMarts. I'm certain that most people find it comforting to not be surprised to find something unfamiliar when they travel. But to me I like it when they someone talks differently, or dresses or thinks differently. You can have your MacDonalds trask. Quote
allthumbs Posted February 15, 2003 Posted February 15, 2003 You don't know me dude. Don't stereotype me. Quote
catbirdseat Posted February 15, 2003 Posted February 15, 2003 No, trask, the day you were made, they broke the mold. Quote
obsydian Posted February 15, 2003 Posted February 15, 2003 What happened to your picture Trask? They yank it again? Quote
PullinFool Posted February 15, 2003 Posted February 15, 2003 All you hosers can take off, eh? And don't get nicked by the RCMP when you are givin her on the Cocahalla. And remember, Dudley ALWAYS gets his man (good to remember when affecting the gay demeanor during pullover) Quote
