Trip: Baker backcountry - Swift trees

Trip Date: 12/19/2020

Trip Report:

This is the saddest forum of this entire website. Let's not let TAY be the sole source of snow-sliding stories!

I know this is now irrelevant conditions information, but I thought the forum needed love. Got out yesterday before the big warm-up. Weather was better than expected for most of the day (things didn't get super windy and snow didn't start falling much until around 2pm) and snow was about what I expected... not all-time, but definitely not bad!

Did a total of seven laps (that's not that much when each lap is ridiculously short, approximately 350') and the skins-inside-the-jacket strategy was key. Pics:

Gear Notes:
Full rocker

Approach Notes:
A hop, skip, and a jump from the Heather Meadows lot

Guess I wasn't logged in, and it gave me an error message... weird.

Pics (pardon my bad photo editing skills with trying to balance the white):
