topher406 Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone has some advice for the easiest walking access to the base of Pacemaker on Robie Reid, as well as any updated route descriptions to that in Alpine Select? I read about a 2007 rockfall that changed the route, but this isn't mentioned in the guide. Am planning to head up there later in July, hoping the snow will be gone! Cheers, topher Quote
Ponzini Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 In the meantime here's a really cool video of the NF of RR from a guy with a RC plane, great scenery. Quote
G-spotter Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 This situation is well covered in the AAJs. All of which are online. The rockfall damage is quite significant. Expect several pitches of 10+ with no pro. Quote
G-spotter Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 Also worth noting that based on 17 years of data there is a significant inverse correlation between "talking about climbing Pacemaker, especially online" and actually climbing Pacemaker. 1 Quote
dberdinka Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 I plan on climbing those waterfalls next January. Who's with me? Quote

topher406 Posted June 13, 2018 Author Posted June 13, 2018 Thanks guys, and thanks for the video, Ponzini! Good luck with the waterfall, dberdinka! ;-) Quote
