  1. Just as I was getting going in the climbing world, I move away from my climbing partner/mentor and started a small family. Now, a handful of years later, I realize that this type of climbing is not going to be part of my life, so I should probably re-allocate my resources to something more appropriate. As such, there may be some material here that could be of use to you! All of the gear here has been very lightly used and properly stored while in my possession. (6-8 years): stable “cellar” type temperatures, binned away from sunlight/pests, and nothing but mild jostling while organizing or moving, and none of them have taken loads more than static body-weight – no leader falls. Here’s a scale to indicate the condition of these pieces: 1 – Brand new, never been placed/used. 2- Essentially brand new, placed once or twice, no falls. 3 – bought used, previous treatment unknown; light use, if any, with me. Items: QTY, NAME, CONDITION, PRICE 1x Wild Country #3 Friend (purple) – 2 - $20 1x Wild Country #2 Friend (red) – 2 - $20 1x Wild Country #1.5 Friend (silver) - $20 1x Metolius #1 Cam (blue) – 1 - $20 1x Metolius #2 Cam (yellow) – 2 - $20 1x Metolius #3 Cam (orange) – 1 - $20 1x Black Diamond Ice Screw 9cm – 1 - $20 1x Black Diamond Ice Screw 12cm – 1 - $20 13x Set of nuts, mostly Metolius – 3 - $5 6x Set of Hexes (cord never weighted, some not tied) – 3 – $5 1x Metolius Syncro Gear Sling – ½ - $10 3x Yates Screamers – 1 - $10ea 5x bolt hangers – 2 - $5 116x Set of climbing holds of various sizes and types. Representative sampling shown in the picture. Mostly from 3-Ball Climbing. 58 cap screws included. - $50 (that’s a great deal on the cap screws alone!) Individually, that’s $265. Buy it all in one go and I’ll round it down to $250. I can meet anywhere in the Portland area.

Dug deep in the gear bin to pull out this treasure for y'all. These are old school rigid crampons (some of you remember). They are pretty good for pure water ice; puts some mojo in your kick. Comes with all the trimmings (heel spurs!) and can be set up for dual point or mono (centered or off). Adjustable to fit just about any (rigid sole) boot. Haven't been used a ton, so points still have a lot of life. $50 cash or venmo. SOLD Arcteryx Atom AR Hoody, Men's Size Large - $100 SOLD One small hole (less than a 1/4") on the back of the left arm was repaired with tenacious tape (see pictures) *Updated: Couple of small scuff marks on the same elbow as the small hole (see pictures) Otherwise in good condition with no other rips or tears. Color: Dark Blue See pictures for sizing. I am 6'3" tall with a 33" waist and 41" chest. 6. SOLD Arcteryx Atom LT Jacket, Men's Size Large - $40 SOLD There is a tear in the zipper which causes the zipper to come out of the top (see pictures). Zipper is still fully functional and closes properly for the length of the jacket. You could sew the tear in the zipper (I think) but I only found this a minor inconvenience and lived with it. The jacket is in otherwise good condition with no rips or tears. Color: Grey See pictures for sizing. I am 6'3" tall with a 33" waist and 41" chest. 7. SOLD Arcteryx Fortrez Fleece Hoody, Men's Size Large - $80 SOLD Color: Dark Blue When I bought this jacket I though it fit like a dress, fitted on the top near the chest but wide at the waist. I went to a seamstress and had two darts put in the back of the jacket to have it fitted around the waist (see pictures). The fit is excellent underneath a harness. If you are approximately my height and waist, it will probably also fit well (see my measurements below). I am not too sure but am guessing you could take the stitches out if you wanted it wider on the bottom. The jacket is in otherwise good condition with no rips or tears. See pictures for sizing. I am 6'3" tall with a 33" waist and 41" chest.

  17. One pair Koflach Vertical double plastic mountaineering boots. These are the same shell as the Expe but use a thinner, lighter liner. In the product line they are warmer and stiffer than the Degre but lighter and more versatile than the Expe. I used them for mountaineering in the Cascades for a few seasons, wore them comfortably to the summit of Rainier (and back down) several times, Eldorado in winter a couple times. I was going to wear these on Denali but priorities changed. Other than some scuffs on the shell these boots are in excellent shape. All the hardware works perfectly, the bellows are in good condition, the heat-reflective footbed is in great shape, and the sole has tons of life left in it. I mostly wore these on snow and glacier climbs so they haven't seen much action on trails, dirt, or rock. These suckers are not light and shipping costs reflect that, so local pickup would be preferable but I'm willing to ship. Can meet downtown Seattle at the library weekdays during business hours, or near the Mount Baker light rail station evenings/weekends. I'm also selling a pair of Intuition Denali thermo-moldable foam liners. These weigh only 10.6 oz for the pair and are sized to fit these boots. It's a huge weight, warmth, and performance upgrade. Used once on a winter Rainier climb. They are molded to my feet but can be re-molded up to 4 more times. Feathered Friends offers this as a service, I highly recommend getting this done by pros who know what they are doing and have the right equipment to get the perfect fit. The liners include a set of custom foam heel inserts to fill the space in the boot shells where the stock liner heels fit. Retail on these is $176. Shells with stock liners: $100 Intuition liners: $60 Both for $150

Barely used, maybe 3-4 trips. 22. Older style duffel, zippers are in great shape, 2 side pockets, internal compression straps. Volume is about 7,000 cubic inches. The coating on the outer fabric is flaking away in a couple places. Can meet downtown Seattle at public library during weekday business hours, or at Mount Baker light rail station Starbucks evenings/weekends. I don't check this site often so email to set up a time - njbratton AT hotmail DOT com.
  23. Original version, still waterproof. Sole has plenty of life left, these were just a hair too small for my feet. Can meet downtown at Seattle Public Library during weekday business hours or at the Mount Baker light rail station Starbucks evenings/weekends. $50 cash in person, can ship if you're not local - shipping would probably be another $15-$20 depending on destination.
