  1. Yeah, for some reason now the image appears. Don't quite know what happened there. Computer glitch I guess. Hahahaha
  2. Ummmmmmmmmmm..... No.
  3. Ummm.... Yo Fence! Spray breakdown alert! Your posts aren't making any sense! Seems like they're missing key images and/or other parts that they require to make sense. Either that or I just don't get it!
  4. Jesus! How many subscriptions did you get Erik!??!?!
  5. I tried to contact this magazine a while back, but to no avail. I think they're defunct.
  6. Then you DO care, and obviously very strongly. Shouldn't you be a little more concerned with all the drunk drivers on the road? There are multitudes more of them and their judgement/reaction times are far worse than of the smokers out there. What are you doing about that?
  7. I thought you were telling me to shut my piehole! Sorry if I misunderstood. Isgerkim 100 gramu!
  8. Eik sikt i savo burna, pizda!
  9. Well, I'm not a pothead, and I don't believe it.
  10. Do you really believe everything everyone tells you, especially our Oh-so-trustworthy goverment? Have you heard that our goverment, yes the AMERICAN goverment, has been guilty of propoganda in the past? Do you believe in the Prohibition? Have you ever considered why certain governments have decriminalized the use of marijuana? Maybe it's not that bad. Maybe it doesn't lead to other drugs. Maybe it won't get you pregnant. Maybe it won't give you AIDS! Maybe, just maybe.
  11. I don't mind the good herb, but what the hell is up with that 420 crap? I've always found that extremely lame. Just because it's a certain time of day, you need to smoke? Can't figure out on your own when to smoke?
  12. Here is a resource that most all you sick folks can benefit from... Internet Addiction Help Get help now!
  13. There was lots of talk about love at last night's slide show.
  14. Isn't blue lake completely under snow right now? As well as most all of these lakes?
  15. Szyjakowski = Skateboarding alcoholic!
  16. Try Pro Guiding Service or Mountain Madness Martin Volken at Pro Guiding Service is one of the best guides in the area and has courses all the time. He can probably throw something together for you if he doesn't have something set up already. Mountain Madness has courses all summer long too, I think.
  17. The Scott Backes slide show last night ed!! It was refreshinglydifferent than any other slideshow that I'd ever seen. You never know what you'll get when you go see a slideshow. A lot of them surprisingly suck, due to the presenter (no matter how badass they may be, I find that is totally irrelevant) being a terrible speaker, a terrible story teller, a terrible photographer, etc etc. The reason Scott's was great was because he is a very eloquent speaker and storyteller, and he really focused a lot on the deeper psychological side of climbing. He didn't just go on and on about each and every pitch of a climb blah blah blah, but actually went into great depth about his mental preparations for trips, his motivations and emotions surrounding expeditions and friendships, the general psychology on why he climbs and what he gets out of it. Scott seems to be one of the few people that has thought about and can actually put all this emotional and psychological stuff into words, and he does it very eloquently. The slideshow was definitely in a class above any other I've ever seen. It was very inspirational. A big thanks to Scott for coming out and ing the house last night (and going drinkin' with the crew as well)! And a thanks to the organizers for throwing this thing together. Nice work.

  19. Well, I just decided to cut the damn thing off. This way it won't be much of a hassle anymore. Check it out!! LINK Anyone need an amputated toe? Should I bring it to Trask's Barbeque?
  20. Thanks for all the input. Szyjacowski, should I really try to cut it off? Will it really work? Good suggestion on the trenchfoot, though I don't think so 'cuz my feet were only really really wet for less than a day. I've had them much wetter and nastier than that before. There's no sign of any discoloration or swelling or anything. Just numbness and dull pain. I think that I just seriously crushed some nerves and they're going to take some time to heal back. It has gotten worse, but not on it's own. It gets worse with every climbing trip I go on, but not between climbing trips. I'd go see a doctor, but have no health insurance, so it's not even an option unless things happen to turn really bad! Ah, the joys of self-employment!
  21. I don't claim to be hardcore in any way. It just seems so silly that people actually go out for what's probably their one mountaineering experience, and a light one at that, and they can't even carry their load right from the start. It's only Mt. Hood, yeah, but the extreme is having some sherpa short rope ya up a mountain, carry all your shit, ascend a bunch of fixed lines, only to claim to "climb" a mountain. Is that really "climbing a mountain?" I just think it's bad style, that's all, and I wouldn't do it myself. Others are definitely free to do what they want, and I have a right to laugh at them, just as Goran has a right to laugh at me for driving to the trailhead. I was just shocked to hear that people do this on Hood of all places. blah blah blah blah blah...yadda yadda yadda.
  22. I already tried that one, to no avail. I looked, but didn't find any. I guess time as well as loosening shoes at belays and such such heal it. It's totally annoying now, just this numb yet painful feeling. What I really need is time spent sipping cocktails on some tropical beach. That should heal it right up
  23. The left half of my right big toe is completely numb. It's been getting worse and worse over the past few weeks, and I can't figure out what's going on. All I can think if is that my feet got pretty cold on two recent mountaineering trips, but no frostbite as far as I can tell. Can cold injure deep tissue without harming the skin? Also, I've done some longer routes in pretty tight climbing shoes, and my toes have been in some serious pain from not unlacing them at belays all the time. Maybe this could be it? I'm wondering the feeling will come back at some point. Anyone else have some numb toes due to cold or tight rock shoes?
  24. Yeah, but if you fix a steel cable, those things can pretty much go vertical!
