It felt even better then that! Aaahhh winter...

In case anyone is interested: There was some snow starting to accumulate as low down as 2700 feet on the pass and all the major runs from Alpental to Hyak are receiving slushy fresh. I hiked up the snow lakes trail in the dark last night and was greeted by 50mph graupel blowing in my face. YEAH!! Anyone care to have a friendly wager on the day of the season opening for Baker/Alpental/Crystal/Bachelor/Whistler?

Amen brother....sorry for the troubles!! VKaspar did you get that???? Try emailing me if you have an issue. This is about the 4th time you've come up on the net and tried starting something with me. Why don't we just go climbing someday and I'm sure everything will be cool. [This message has been edited by mikeadam (edited 10-23-2001).]

Was anyone interested in ever doing this one the eastside? It was mentioned a few times by various eastside climbers. Mike

Jman, they are your's. I'll call in a few minutes and I can meet you today. Mike

I'll fix the javascript errors and finish writing the 7 or so stories that need posting. Look, the site is completely about NOT taking climbing seriously or ourselves too seriously. The joke was a private one amongst friends, but I think the new content will lay it out a little better and it will be more obvious to readers who don't know the original alpinelite crew personally.

I graduated HS early. Thanks for your interest in me though. It's really flattering. I'll remove your name tomorrow and Pencil Pusher (we miss you) and change "plumbline's" information (hey if you're going to talk smack about J's navigation methods then you just set yourself up) I already had terrorist activity on the webboard (it's coming back!) ...anyone else want me to change anything? Buh bye.... [This message has been edited by mikeadam (edited 10-22-2001).]

I'd be happy to add anyone with over 500 posts as a recipient of the "Tarzan Awards". Hopefully Tarzan won't post here and put my name in lights again. What's this? About the 5th time or more? <LOL> I'll take the high road and remove the name from that page, but if you try to butt heads with me again in a *serious* manner and don't see the joke (cause it has ALWAYS been a joke to me) then expect war.

Get a clue WHOEVER you are. The internet is rife with people trolling for a laugh or to disturb someone else's peace of mind or whatever. That page was done in complete humor and made for me, my friends, and whoever takes climbing a little less serious than the average joe. You are the person who took a bunch of things on this website all out of context and tried to create some kind of personal issue with me. I'll take your name off my site as long as you promise to never post here again. Otherwise my challenge to you stands, and if your name is Victoria and your a girl, then try antagonizing someone else cause I am not terribly amused by you whatsoever.

Either way mine are still for sale. Tons of other gear for sale. Email for a full list. Mike

I have brand new MSR's I used 2 times last year. Denali Ascents. They retail for about 160.00. I'll let you have them for 100.00 (they are new) http://www.rei.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=10989873&prmenbr=8000

5.9 rubble is more like it -
You can use Dan Aylward's method and attach some track spikes to the bottom of your tennis shoes and then climb TNF of Mt Buckner. Worked for him --should work for you. I have the engineering specs he sent me if you want them.

I know. I didn't think you were. I just figured since health records are considered personal records that DPS might not want his health talked about online unless he's the one instigating it. See your PM's. Mike -
Caveman, Sean Issac is one of Sean E's bros. He cranks HARD. He's Canadian eh... [This message has been edited by mikeadam (edited 10-18-2001).]

Hey SC, Dan is a really cool guy and a great person to spend a day with in the mountains. You can email him if you're really interested in getting to know him. -
The coolest "I wanna" outside your given discipline
mikeadam replied to Matt_Anderson's topic in Climber's Board
Man I don't know about that "ice is like 5.6" attitude. Try HOOKING your way up something vertical pitch after pitch for a bit and then let us know if you think it felt like 5.6 or like 5.11. Try doing it on lead and see if it feels like you just led R&D route. My guess is not. You're welcome to head up to Lillooet with us this season and get your headspace and timing adjusted. Hopefully you'll take me up on that. Mike -

Gee Matt, I didn't realize I was under some predefined constraints as to what I can post on your thread. Thanks for setting me straight and getting me back on target. And my name is Mike Adamson not mike adam. I would like to lead Polar Circus and ski The Hamborgler. Mike
