  1. If Heaven exist on Earth, you are living in it, Buddy! Healthily jealous, wish I could join you :-))
  2. Thanks for the positive note, KK and Jon... I think it will be cool at a number of levels. For example, 1) My family in Argentina checks my profile from time to time, but they won't find a trip of mine that someone else posted in cc.com. That is for sure taking traffic off this site... 2) Climbers looking for partners can see the full list of climbs another climber has done, as opposed as only those that he/she posted. Better to decide if partners are good match... I'm sure smart people would find even more reasons, and pretty much there is none why not to do it, right? :-) Anyway, I can't say is my idea. FB, PICASA, etc, they already are doing it, and would be awesome if this can be implemented here. Cheers, Buddies!! GA
  3. Dear Moderators, I was wondering about an idea I posted a long time ago and one of you said it was cool, if there was any chance to implement it. It would be something like FB when someone tags you, simply to be able to put a link in our profiles to those climbs we did but that a friend also in cc.com posted. In this case, for example, family members not necessarily climbers (not even in the PNW) that won't look into anyone else post, could follow our stories, and this will increase traffic in the site, and that is good for sponsors. Anyway, the technology seems to be out there, just an idea to implement it in this awesome site. Thanks, Pals!
  4. Thank you, Pals!! I'll look into the mountains. The traverse we want to make it, but enjoy it over 4-5 days. Was told is too beautiful to rush it... Thanks again!! And any other idea greatly appreciated... Cheers! GA
  5. We are planning to head to Canada for a three days ski trip during the first w/e of May. I've never been there, wondering if anyone knows of any good peak to tackle. Things that may help, - We are all in good shape, - We all ski fairly well - Looking for something like Glacier Peak or Coleman in Baker... Thanks! -GA
  6. Dan, do you have an idea how many degrees that slope close to the top is? Is it possible to ski overhanging powder? :-) You have some big pelotas, amigo...
  7. DPS, if you don't mind, why do you say that? It looks great, but any tip from your own experience? Thanks, GA
  8. Thanks for the explanation, Tom. Hopefully these people will find out that climbers can find a way to climb respecting the birdies' nest. You can cite the same situation in Snow Creek Wall and the (I think) "raptors?" nests. They close every year part of the wall where the nests are, and everyone is happy and respectful. Keep the good effort, and thanks for that... GA
  9. Hola, Al Filo... Como va? Argentino, 10 anios aca. Cliquea mi nombre si queres ver algunas de mis escaladas. Un placer si quieres juntarnos para escalar algun dia, o para una cerveza para empezar. Un abrazo, Nelson
  10. Hi. Please, out of curiosity: when you said "mandatory" vs "voluntary", does it mean permanent vs temporary? If not, why is the voluntary part better? Sorry for the ignorance, thanks for any clarification :-)
  11. Did not see many reports on Shuksan in mid-winter. I assume is feasible, but any hint on if this plan would not be doable for any good reason? Thanks for any tip... If doable, looking for partners for: 1) Sat: ~5 miles of road skinning (it sucks, I know), and up to ~6400' 2) Sun: Summit, ski all the way out, beers, burgers... Can drive (coming from Seattle), take 2-3 more, have all the common gear (4-season tent, stove, pot, etc). Kinda obvious, but just in case, please have beacon/shovel/probe, and some sort of avy practice under your belt would be appreciated :-) (I have it)... So far, weather and views should be very cool...
  12. Are you spending the w/e there? Or just for tomorrow (sat)?
  13. Hi, Craig... I'm honest here: have all the theory but not all the experience to lead ice. Can follow I guess anything, can belay for sure anything :-) If you want a partner for Sunday and Monday (two days of climbing), let me know. Coming from Seattle. Can drive, have all the gear, can take 3 more (if anyone else wants to jump in), would be great to carpool to save on gas, is a long drive... Cheers, GA.
  14. Cool trip and cool TR! V, pardon the ice-norance, but where is "denman" at? Cheers and thanks, G.A.
  15. Hi, Rue... We have a group of BC skiers/climbers, intermediate level, all mostly relaxed people. May be a little more info? Climber gear available? Dude/gal? Climbing/avy training/experience? I also have a pass for Snoqualmie so that could be a good start point (whenever we get snow again :-) Cheers GA
  16. Buddy, thanks a bunch for the beta ! With the dry spell of the last days, and the weather coming in on the W side of the Cascades, we are trying to find anything with snow and sun, but it seems we'll have to climb, not ski :-) Thanks again, Dude, I appreciate your advice! Cheers, GA
  17. Thanks, Buddy! One last I forgot: how about Assgard pass? Is snow covered like to ski it down, or not that much yet? We were actually thinking in D-Tail with some skiing in the bowl up there :-) Cheers! GA.
  18. Thank you! I tried with the "news" forum, but there was no link for a "new topic", even when I was logged in. May be you have to be moderator to be able to post in the news section? Cheers! GA
  19. Sweet, Buddies! Please, couple of Qs for some beta if you do not mind: The road is gated, right (at least this is what the Ranger told me on the phone? How is the dirt road from the Icicle to the TH (snow or not?)? From the TH to Colchuck lake? (you mention "bootpack", is it all snow already?) Up Assgard Pass? Thank you !! GA.
  20. Hi, just wanted to follow up on the idea of allowing profiles to be linked to TRs of our climbs but posted by other person in the party. I remember the answer was "may be in the future" about a year ago, any news? :-) Also, how to delete some uploaded pics not used for the TR because of size or other details and that are occupying space in your system? Thank you!! Gaucho A.
  21. Hi, Dave. We can give it a try. I guess we are mostly in the same page. We can try with one easier climb like Adams or the like (long, but no crevasses). We can go up from there. My mail is ndipaolo -at- gmail.com Send me a message and we can try to put 4 people to go somewhere this w/e if you want, turkey is not for me...
  22. Awesome, Dudes!! Why "The Misunderstanding"? Y'all seem to have understood the route perfectly: Saw it / Want it / Sent it :-)
