Yep I arrived in Seattle 2 days ago with only one aim: seeing/climbing the mountains around here! have all my climbing gear (beside a rope)and bivy stuff free anytime for 2 months I am in my friend home in Capitol Hill/Seattle Rainier, Hood, Eldorado, Baker, Olympic mountains, Adams, Shuksan.... I have never climbed any of these yet so open to anything as long as it is not really difficult route I have been climbing many summits around the world for 10 years, 35 and motivated! so? see ya later?
  11. I you sent you a pm, I wrote it from Seattle
  12. C'est clair (that's clear) yup see ya next week
  13. Hello here's Seb from France who will arrive next monday in Seattle for 2 months. I'll be around with all my climbing and bivy gear. The outing you wanna do seems to be great, the mountains located in the north cascade nat. park are looking like the one near my place in the northern Alps. Well our glaciers are smaller, obviously. If you wanna see my personal page see http://www.camptocamp.org/users/183887/en let's keep in touch knowwing that I don't really have a specific schedule, I'll just try to spend the maximum time in the mountains. Cheers
  14. argh! I did not remember that it was for this week end, I'll still be far away.... maybe the week end after then!
  15. Hello here's Seb from France again. I'm used to walk a lot, camp here or there or walk 12h a day! I'll have all my climbing gear plus tent. But not a rope. Felix, you know I'll arrive next monday evening in Seattle, the day after will have to by a helmet and maybe a jacket and then I can go! I don't know much the mountains there but for an easy snow/rock climb it should not be a problem for me at all. I'm here, mainly, to see your mountains and glaciers! keep in touch, I'll be your man! salut!
  16. Ok Like climbing the highest one! If i'm not mistaken Rainer is a volcanoe and I read somewhere that it's still a bit active with some smokes near the summit. Lot of volcanoes in France but they're all totally dead. Yep this is my email By the way if the weather is ok next week you're still ok for Rainer? I've been told that the situation is the same in the Pacific N.W than in the northern french alps=lot of snow left this august. Good for the crevasses.
  17. Good afternoon (here's it's evening already), I'm back from climbing, my last summit in France for the season. Thanxs for answering so fast. So I'll go back to France the 18th of October, meaning that I'll be around for 2 months. My aim are the Cascades mountains from North CA to Garibaldi nat. park in British Colombia. And if times allows it, in october, maybe going for a while to SLC/Utah and walk around (I'm no city guy). Where do you live exactly? It seems that what happened in WA/OR is exactly what happened in the northern french alps=lot of snow left for the season, which is good for the bloody crevasses! Even though I know how to go out a crevasse myself (d.i.y.), which is much more easier than taking someone out of one.... But for Rainer I guess it's like Mt Blanc here, you've lot of people around which can help with their strenght. If you want to see of few pictures of 'our' mountains here look at my personal page http://www.camptocamp.org/users/183887/en the MONT BLANC section has good pictures, I climbed it alone... Ok that's it, you can also reach me here: xwgfx a yahoo.fr I'll be able to check my email until early sunday so i hope we can sort this off and tahnxs again
  18. Hello here's Seb from France, I will land in Seattle the 16th (evening). I'm 35 and I've been climbing like 50 summit worlwide=I'm experienced I live in the Alps and climb a lot=I'm in good shape! That would be great to find some blokes to reach the top of Rainer, knowing that I'll bring all my mountain gear, of course. may I join with you? thanxs
  19. Hello! so here's Seb from France climbing lot of mountains in the northern Alps where I live. The 16th of august I'll arrive in Seattle with one goal: climbing most of the cascades volcanoes from Northern California to southern B.C. I'm 35 years old and will carry my climbing gear for glaciers or so. So I wish to meet to share a rope knowing that I've a good experience on glaciers/snow, I'm in good shape and used to travel in poor conditions. So thanxs to help me if you can. See my page + pictures here if you want http://www.camptocamp.org/users/183887/en
  20. Hello! Yep I'm a 35 years old french alpinist and it's been years that I've been dreaming to go in the Cascade/Mt Olympus. This dream will come true because I've bought my plane ticket for Seattle (mid-august to mid october) and I wish to see the maximum that I can from Mt Garibaldi to Mt Shashta. Even if I'll do a lot of trekking I also wish to climb a few summits so I will bring my essential gear (ice axe, crampons, harness...) so if anyone is ok to share a rope with me because being alone on a glacier no thanxs! I've been climbing like 30 high summits in France mainly but also in Bolivia, Equator. Well I've a good experience. Now even though there is still a lot of time I wish to take a few contacts now. thanxs for help xwgfx a yahoo.fr
