If you remember last year when a few backcountry snowboarders went missing they called the search off after a while but the county that the incedent happened in was alread making plans and asking outher countys to search for the bodies once the snow milteded... I was already singed up but they the bodies were found by some hikers or something.

    Canadian Bacon

I was in Cananda a few years back a wanted a pice of pepperoni pizza, I counted my canadian money so i had enough (pizza with toppings cost more than cheese). I knew i had enough for a slice with pepperoni but when the lady said she was out. I started to panic inside my head. Unaware, i bluerted the question of asking for a pice of Canadian bacon. "Your an american arnt you" she asked in a snobby voice "we only have ham". I was glarred at the rest of my meal.
  18. Interesting. Can you tell me where you think there is some good Seracing on Mt Rainier that is accesible for a day trip? That would be great. Thanks! Im not talking about the whole mountain. Im just looking to hone my skills climbing on some seracs both top roping maybe leading. Doesnt need to be just a day trip. Thanks everyone!
  19. Does the Mt. Rainier area offer any good serac ice climbing like Baker?
  20. Does Alska count or just the continental 48 states?
  21. Probably not me since I've never climbed at Vantage. Maybe though, stranger things have happened? Haha ok. I thought the guy was crazy. Didnt like Vantage... Ha.
  22. Haha i guess theres no need for me to go the site...
  23. Denalidave, I think i met you climbing in Vantage this summer. You said you didnt really like the area compared 11worth and other Washington crags... Sound like you?
  24. This looks cool! What's it like- would I be way out of place as a 16-year-old who's never ice climbed before? -Mark Way to go big, dude! I first climbed ice whe i was 16 (about a year and half ago). Its all about finding places that will let ya on. The Seattle Mountaineers get a lot of hate but i needed some where that would teach me how to ice climb so i went with them. Jeff Street the main instructor was great. It was a really good experiance and i learned alot. If you know how to rock climb and use crampons your set... And finding partners...
