  1. Third wknd in may? Two Rainier summits but not enough experience to carry out a complicated rescue like you said.
  2. Is anyone interested in teaming up for a Rainier summit in May? I've summitted twice (DC route) and would love to get back up there. DC is always a good standard but I'm equally intrigued by the Emmons route and would love to check it out if you're familiar with it. Believe it or not I've actually had trouble finding people who want to go and am tempted to just stand at Muir with a cardboard sign saying "please take me with you." Safety and respecting the mountain/conditions is my philosophy. If you're interested, we can definately dayhike it to Muir a couple of times this Spring to make sure it'll be a good fit. Thanks!
  3. Was thinking of doing Mt. Olympus this Labor Day weekend. Anyone been up there recently? Would appreciate any advice/news before I set off.
  4. Lucky Dog! I was up there a few weeks ago and it was raining and absolutely no view. Lovely report - you must be a fellow English major Happy Trails ~ Louisa
  5. I agree about the first part of the DC route - it's hard to find. I did a summit Aug 3 and we got off trail for a while so that was loads of fun but at least I didn't get sick this time. I'm always looking for climbing partners so if you have a free weekend, let me know. I'd love to get back up there.
  6. I might be down for that. I work the 29th but have sat/sun/mon off. I live in Lacey. If you can find a partner from up north for the driving I could meet you guys at the trail head. Did Rainier a couple weekends ago for the second time. Always wanted to do Adams. maybe we can figure it out, otherwise happy trails.
