Salomon Super Mt Snow and Ice, size 9. $50 + shpg.
-
I have Salomon Super Mt 9's in size 9. The once-common dark blue boot with orange trim. Nothing synthetic or fancy, just a great classic leather single boot. Photo later. $50 (plus shipping) Here's a pic I found of someone else's. They look like they've been waxed; mine aren't shiny. http://www.summitpost.org/phpBB3/fs-salomon-mountain-guide-9-boots-t55675.html

Is the black one as tweaked as it looks? (central cams WAY uneven)
-
I might be able to fit those front points to my crampons. Can you measure how thick they are? And I need to get a feel for their dimensions. A photo of them on graph paper would be very informative.
-
Are you looking for Primaloft-type? Or could it be fleece? I have a pair of 32 waist MH pants that are 300 wt fleece, full side zips, fabric-over-fleece on the knees and seat. Like new and as warm as the Patagonia Puff Pants-style quilted pants I have.

PM sent on size 42s.

There's only 1 bolt holding the pick on the old Fusions. Same as every other BD ice tool for the last 10+ years.

Yard Sale: A Pair New, BD Fusion Mixed/Ice Tools
Gunkiemike replied to MickVB's topic in The Yard Sale
Don't have any, and never used them. But a year or so ago I thought about getting some but was still concerned by all the "they bounce off the ice" comments that surrounded the first generation Fusions. FWIW I see a lot more folks with new Vipers. -

Just curious, why didn't you like them? -
Still have the unused picks for sale, $75 for the pair.
-
OK, you drive a hard bargain...how about $70 shipped? Also, in case you can't see it, there are teeth on the top of the pick as well. That and the longer beak are the only differences in shape between this and the Cascade.

Justin, I was going to pitch a couple Grivel screws to you, but Nicole just put up an unbeatable price. Buy hers! -
I thought I bought your extra screws!

Price reduced - $70 for the pair.

Forgot to mention - the mounting bolts are not included.

FS/FT: Rab Baltoro climbing/skiing glove, Small
Gunkiemike replied to Jon H's topic in The Yard Sale
Hey jkup, which Ice Gloves are you looking for? I have the black ones from 6-8 yr ago, the ones with the cheap, removeable fleece liners and the rectangular padding across the back. Size small but these also ran large. Lemme know if this sounds like what you are after and I can take a few pics. These are barely broken in - just enough to take the shine off the leather palms. -
Wanted: Type S tapered shank 3/8" drill bits
Gunkiemike replied to bwwakaranai's topic in The Yard Sale
The one I have (pictured up higher in this thread) has a shank diam. of 3/8". The taper is 1-1/8" long and has a minimum diam. (i.e. at the end) of just under 5/16". Looks like a 10:1 taper. -

What I bought were described as A taper. B taper was for the really big sizes IIRC. With a cheap diamond honing stone (mine cost $7) you can resharpen carbide tips. -

I'm with John on the chisel point. The SDS bits I've looked at have a tip profile clearly oriented more to rotary action. They just don't work as well for hand drilling. My best find ever - and I'll be sorely bummed when they die - were chisel shaped, carbide tip bits. I think they were even tapered shank, but I don't recall and I'm too lazy to go dig them out. Scored 'em off McMaster Carr about 12 yr ago. Long since out of the catalog. -
