    for the smaller items i sleep with them between the shirt I am wearing and my skin in my bag. For larger items I do like the above said with a full water bottle stuffed inside of it.

    I thought about it some, it has been a while since I read the book, then I remembered I would have cut it too. I just hope I stay in my skill set and never end up in that situation.

    that is an awesome trip. Makes me feel lazy only doing hood

    sounded like a great trip congrats. I have tried the cold water with dehydrated food but gave up after 2 hours and the beans were still like rocks.

    I have left gear at both camps and have never had a problem with it not being there when I get back.

    I know for Rainier June/July should be about perfect and the trail should be established above Muir. As for the GT I am not sure.
