  3. Imagine... one day it will be real-time!
  4. Used but not heavily, perhaps a dozen days max over the last two seasons. Generally in great shape. No core shots or nasty gouges. Skins have a small bit of forest matter as expected but they're still very sticky. Bindings are voile light rail, also in excellent condition. Purchased the whole package in 2014 for around $700. If you're interested, make an offer! Located in W Oregon, can ship or meet in person. Dorian

  11. Trip: Trinity Alps - Thompson & Caesar - Date: 7/4/2013 Trip Report: A mid-summer solace, breaking the burdensome involvement of timber industry interning. Imazapyr dreams, glyphosate gluttony, madrone massacres, and fire fumbling- requiring a sizable portion of time, yet restoring confidence in the common folks' consumptive needs. Wood is a wise renewable resource after all. Far too many pious peoples run amok, aghast at the thought of chainsaw against cambium. Does food not come from drained & clearcut wetland, a medium which supports a greater biodiversity than forest? Do you not cleanse your curmudgeon of a cornhole with forest derived fiber product? In light of food crop, concrete, steel, and polymer problems, the tension over tree harvest is truly trifling. The Trinity Alps- among only a few true temptations within reach of the unsavory solitude of Southern Oregon. The redwoods present another attraction, however, ambulation through the great noble and erect phallus-land is best saved for the acquaintance of a lovely young lady. Unfailingly strong, girth-gifted shafts in every direction- ether in the feminine fantasy- erogenous exploration and high desire. This time it was not to be; wondrous wood will have to wait. Broheim and I set out south, the ladies having fell out of formation in favor of civil things. Just two dudes on the road, a-flood with unfulfilled ambitions, inaccurate presumptions, and clever conspiracies. Before long, we began the hike amid indecently hot weather- a savage punishment for sins afore and an afternoon start. Lusting for lake immersion and ample water supply, we quickly covered the approach- some miles more parched than what is right for middle class Americans. We reached the lake at sunset- and what a fine place it is. There we unexpectedly encountered two groups of familiar faces, and together we joined- becoming a trio of trinity clans. It was a serene night set in a most impeccable place. Galactic grandiosity, emotional unearthings, and unacquainted experiences- a substantiation of summer serendipity. Our communal arrangement carried through the next morning, until ambitions arose and split the summit fevered from normal folk. Thompson was the target, and a jolly good route of granite gullies and ridge scrambling brought us to the top. Virtuous views of the range rewarded us- ample fuel for future schemings. Wedding cake, our prior trinity transgression, poised strikingly nearby- conjuring memories sealed and days gone by. Satiated with the moment at hand, we took to laziness at the peak- at ease among the epic surroundings. Time taken to peruse the register rewarded first-rate wisdom from a fledging lady poet: "It is only when we realize that less is more and time is relative that the simple joys of life present themselves. Think of where you have been, hardships you have overcome and burdens you have carried. Think of where you are and the power and endurance inside of you that has enabled you to be here. Think of the future and where you can and will be in days and years to come. Life is the best gift of all. Please enjoy it and never look back" Awed by intellect, impassioned by perspicacity- new appreciations for a lady afar. The next morning saw us to the summit of Caesar peak- a marvelous means of beginning our final day. Krummholz clambering and a rocky ridge stroll lead quickly to the top- a beautiful perch with views perhaps better than taller Thompson next door... Lakeside lounging and swimming before hiking out- digging the deep blue divinity before reacquaintance with society. A short but oh so sweet galavant into a mountain grandeur-land. So sublime. Grizzly Lake at sunset Space Lake-side Camp Headed up Thompson Summit lounging Wedding Cake On descent Mirror lake, Sawtooth, and Canyon Creek from summit of Caesar Adios
  12. Anyone care to help out a couple oregon boys doing the PT? We're hoping to arrange a ride on the 19th (prior to beginning the traverse) from Suiattale river road to Cascade pass. You would be bestowed with gas money plus food, beer, karma, and interesting conversation!
  13. Thanks! No worries Holk, sorry about the double time work! It's been a few years now since I've made acquaintance with the Wallowas, gonna have to remedy that sometime soon..
  14. Trip: Trinity Alps- Wedding Cake - Bachelorette Party Date: 5/25/2013 Trip Report: Homeboy had a heartbreak- we plotted surmounting Mount Deception both figuratively and physically to gain the glory lost and arrive at some wisdom of sorts. Departure was imminent, but olympic's weather was now objectionable. We turned our wanting south, where shiny granite and sunny skies were certain to settle the soul. Off to the wilderness- but not before a babe came bounding through the door- luring the simple solace that valley dwelling can offer. The coital conditions were hot n ready- not completely unlike a little caesars pizza, but dogged discipline and patience won out- virtue retained and plebeian practices put on hold. A faltered flask heist, purchase of provisions, and Ecuadorian chow saw us in motion- uninterrupted until late night, walmart wanderings with weirdos and employee lessons in native history. Trailhead bivy, morning rise, and the awkward emergence from the back of the truck with another man in tights- in front of fathers and impressionable sons. We set about to hiking- covering miles quickly. Where the trail takes on a certain splendor, we encountered the unlikeliest of trios in all the trinities- a cohort of gregarious young gals on a bachelorette party. Talk of nature and nakedness, serial killers, and headstand challenges made for good acquaintance. Continued towards high camp- ladies along- routefinding along lakes and through a series of ledges. Epic scenery makes all swoon- happy to be in a sublime place with good souls. Set camp at sunset- savor the view, supper, sun salutations, and smokey campfire. Near night's end, a pair of piercing eyeballs is spotted not 50 yards from camp- a madness ensues. One swears it was a mountain lion- our female friends now terrified of a feline feeding- ice axes valiantly man wielded in case of battle against an emboldened beast. Naturally, ladies forgot tent poles- shudder at exposed camping and thoughts of being tender treats for a cougar and her cubs. Two person tent, rainfly, and five people- an instinctual embrace- pseudo secured from the savage nature. Pretty sure it was just some dumb-ungulate. With nary a shuteye, a new day rose. Clouds enshrouding the peaks quickly fizzled away. Coffee, breakfast, and quick goodbyes separated the boys from the girls. Our time at the bachelorette party had come to an end; it was now time to climb the wedding cake. Up we plodded, fumbling slightly in following the route. To the col a little of everything was had from steep groveling, clean granite, and easy snow. Onward to the summit was more involved than anticipated- certainly exposing our inadequacies- route-finding, moat negotiations, ice fall, wet slabs, loose boulders and all. A large remaining snow patch near the summit ensured the normally high friction granite was anything but. Nonetheless, summit achieved, and route reversal went down smooth. Good times. Lower Canyon Creek Lake with Wedding Cake and Thompson Things to do in the backcountry: get massaged by three women simultaneously, check. Scouting a way to the upper slopes Canyon Creek Valley Sawtooth Towards Hilton from the summit Back in weaverville, we were famished and down, as not a single burger joint was open in town.. We scoured the streets, and just to our luck, some tweakers were found, next to a pickup truck.. Never without energy, they went back inside, producing chicken-bacon burgers, and a side of pie.. The twacking was absurd, their tales were tall, they wanted to chill, but we said peace to yall!
