This is what happens when you try to save a country for a guy who probably never existed 2000 years ago, I guess.

Some in the GOP are actually talking about that fact that the parties only remaining base - angry white men, are dying off. Statistically, this die off costs them just under 2% per presidential election nationally. They even went so far as to say that hispanics, women, and science might even be important. They did not mention blacks or gays - one can only go so far, so fast. I googled Romney yesterday to learn more about his private life - sports, hobbies, whatev - to get a fuller sense of the man. Mainly, I wanted to know what he'll be doing while Obama shoots hoops (the answer, as it turns out, is more campaigning). NADA. Two supreme court justice appointments, leaving State level weed laws alone, continued focus on renewables, getting out of Afghanistan, a revision of the tax code, however minor, continued support for marital equality and a woman's right to choose, and an internationalist foreign policy, and reigning in a bit of military spending would be OK with me. Pretty much a continuation of what he's been doing all along. I don't see the need for much change in direction, personally. Seems like he had things pretty much on track.
