  1. ORPD has closed RR for climbing till July 1st...due to a nesting Peregrine Falcon at the summit...
  2. Thanks all....I think i'll try the tagging each rope with a tag and the pertinent info in BIG BLOCK LETTERS...for the same reason
  3. Thanks man, but looking for more of a home remedy...
  4. I've collected several ropes in the past few years....along with ropes cut from a spool. The manufacturer's tags usually fall off. Just wondering if there's a good way to tag the rope with pertinent information, like the diameter and length. The more ropes I collect, the harder it is to remember...especially the length.
  5. Bronco, the views make it worth the drive from Portland. Not quite what you experienced on Burgundy, but a fun day hike/climb anyway.
  6. Saw you guys as we were headed to Silver Star...you were just getting started. Well done!
  7. FYI...Teardrop Pool is at the summit, in the crater, near the north rim. The pool that's in the picture is a tarn at the bottom of the Lewis Glacier. Nice pictures...
  8. Bigtree, saw your tracks appear just below Winnies Slide...we came up from the White Salmon Glacier approach on Sunday 6/2. Made the summit, and yeah, the descent was a soupy mess...and a little unnerving. https://picasaweb.google.com/105010285274528114328/ShuksanWhiteSalmonGlacier6213?noredirect=1# ...
  9. Thanks pdepape...looks like they're up to version 11 now. Cool video...similar to what I want to do. I'll check into PowerDirector.
  10. Got a GoPro...now I need to find a simple video editing program...got any suggestions?
