  1. I did this tour a week ago with a couple split-boarders. They had no complaints save the last bit of roadside scooting near the hairpin to the parking area.
  2. Do folks usually have some energy left to ski Sunday, or are you all partied out? I'll come over Sat night with firewood if anyone wants to ski Sunday.
  3. When you mention falls I assume you're referencing the Depot Creek approach. We approached by Perry Creek basin which held the most various and abundent fungus display I've witnessed.
  4. Spickard route: south slope, 6th pic The Whatcom Pass-Redoubt High Route was a consideration. Went back out Perry Creek. Red Face was done as a side trip.

  15. Was planning to check out the SW couloir this W/E. May be a bit more traffic than I'd hoped given the recent TR, but sounds worth a visit. I'm in Spokane and would be happy to have some company, either from here or elsewhere. Open to other ideas, perhaps some skiing too. PM if interested, though I won't be able to check until after ~8:00. -Ethan

  21. uh, to get the hell away from people who believe in santa claus, easter bunnies, faces appearing in tortillas and big guys in bathrobes that bestride the cosmos yet still bother to get involved in the intrigues of ants that said, crossing under huge icefalls and hearing rocks fall like artillery during the night never fails to lever out a few vestiges of primitive superstition from my divinely-wrought brain-jelly :lmao:Thanks. I needed that.
  22. Sorry if I was obtuse. I was being terminology geek. Yes, there is a formidable crack at the base of this route in winter some years. I did not encounter it this trip.
