  1. Boots worn only 2x on snowy hiking trails, they are like new. Some detailed specs here: boots Price $290. (paid $525). I'm in Portland metro area.
  2. Brand-new, never worn. I'm realizing I'll never have again the right partner for alpine climbing, so might as well sell these off. $90 (typical $150 retail). I can meet you at a Circuit gym or ship if you're outside Portland. I recently learned that USPS charges stupid shipping prices, so $15 FedEx Ground would be the means. I have Paypal.
  3. Hi - Looking to add to my small pool of climbing partners, as sometimes no one is available. Mostly for Ozone or Smith, etc. I'm quite experienced in all types of climbing, comfortable leading sport or trad to 10+, though I'm happy to do easier stuff too.
  4. Yeah I was there Fri night and there was a goddamned tent-city just outside the fence and I've never seen so many people up the canyon road. Never even occurred to me that the cg was closed, but that must've been what was going on. I've never used the camp area even when it was free since I like my quiet before 2am... and especially now since paying money to "lay in the dirt" has always been against my principles. Not to mention I live well below the poverty level. Anyway, what the BLM has accomplished really it seems is to create far greater environmental damage with all the folks running amok looking for their spot only to find someone parked behind every tree now - all looking to save $5 or apparently because they're doing a seasonal closure.
  5. No but I suspect there is nada.
  6. Wow, you're staying until the 34th? You'll likely run out of brews.
  7. pe·ri·od (pîr-d) n. 1. The full pause at the end of a spoken sentence. 2. A punctuation mark ( . ) indicating a full stop, placed at the end of declarative sentences and other statements thought to be complete, and after many abbreviations.
  8. Anybody want to go get some on Hood in the coming days if/when the new snow settles a bit? I'd be solid on steep ice, but I'm utterly clueless about Hood other than the yak route. So if the NF is already out of condition, tell me I'm a buffoon! Just going by that pretty blue-sky trip report that's 2 wks old...
  9. Watch your cornhole - the grizzlies are still carbo-loading. I'm out of work and would LOVE to hit Cody. But I'm a stranger, still climb with leashes, barely touched my tools the last 2 years, and I'm pretty sure Joey Smith was a bamboozler.
  10. Are you in Portland? Are we talking summits or rock climbing here?
  11. Need a partner to climb at Ozone this weekend? Me too. I lead in the 9-10 range.
  12. The word is SOUL. Just sayin.
  13. I'm in Vancouver WA, unemployed presently, so why not get out and climb during the week to avoid the crowd? Of course weekends are fine too! Ozone..Broughton..Smith. Leading 10-11 sport and 9 trad, lotsa years of experience and road trips. I didn't climb this winter so I'm not going to be tearing it up out there.
  14. Anyone for Smith during next week? I lead up to 11a, but happy doing 9's too. I have to be back here Thurs/Fri. PM me.
  15. check your PM's Swami
  16. Just moved back here and I have the next 3 weeks completely free. Would like to get out locally or to Smith, Tieton, Vantage, etc. I've been at it for years, trad/sport to 10's. I've not climbed AT ALL this year but I'm fit enough to do reasonably well and have fun. Anyone? Weekdays, weekends....
  17. PM sent.

  19. Mmmm, you're new here aren't you?...
  20. I have Sun/Mon off, but shit... Leavenworth & Ellensburg have Low: 32, High: 40's. Screw the banana belt. I want to go to Banff/Jasper or Cody for a week! If anyone wants to entertain that idea, and/or has an idea where to get out this weekend, email me six_doit03 at hotmail.com
  21. New to Seattle (eastside). I'm a 40 y/o NH transplant, lotsa years leading ice. Sadly I've been working weekends and not swung a tool yet this season - perhaps the best ice season in WA in many years. I can go out Mon (5th) or 1 day next weekend. Anyone? I blew it approaching Strobach last winter and have a score to settle there. Or looks like Leavenworth has action. Figure there is a few weeks max left to go get some.
  22. Just moved here,45 y/o,climbing 20 yrs. Looking for a regular partner for cragging or alpine stuff, aid, ice,as long as it's climbing! I can still keep up with the young-uns. PM me!
