  1. Think about it; if many of us acted like this in real life, we'd be locked up on the spot. "I'm not crazy but I play one on CC.com".

Oh, so you can provide that list of anti-American terrerisms groups that posed an eminent threat to the US just prior to the American invasion? Thanks in advance!

Yes, let's all go to Iraq so we'll finally know the truth. That's the only way anyone can ever truly know anything. Scott Harpell, the one and only true living expert on anything having to do with Iraq for now and forever. Looking forward to your next Fox interview! Thank you and good night.

Vietnam would seem a more appropriate example, but regardless, history (as least your warped reading of it) hasn't seemed to prevent either tactical mistakes (like IRAQ!) or prevented the US from getting into wars in the first place. So, sorry your guys version of history is not inspiring much confidence. --Hoss

Proof again that when all else fails one can always mention WWII, Hitler, Pearl Harbor, vets, troops, etc. to score rhetorical points for an American pro-war argument. Well done but keep in mind that something about "commies" will further bolster your case next time.

    Flip-Flopper

You and Fairweather should start a traveling vaudeville act. Hilarious!
  7. Don't worry sir, the ironically politically correct revisionist history police are on the scene. We can't have any grave-dancing, please move along.

    Flip-Flopper

Actually, I was subverting the language to suggest how a supporter of Jesse Helms might make the statement; very few of whom, if any are people of color. And yes, you are quite insane.

I'm voting for Jesse Helms, at least he is (was) a man of principle, not no flip-flopper.

    Election Over!

Stick a fork in Obama! This is bigger than fishing or BBQs.
  11. As with the thread about "supporting the troops", it's amazing how much crap that Americans are willing to swallow when it comes to all this windbaggery about "having the courage to stand up for what you believe in", "I don't agree with his views, but I respect the fact that he has an opinion", "he's a great man who fought hard for his beliefs", blah, blah, blah. What is this mealy-mouthed spineless bullshit called? What Helms believed in was White Supremacy, simple as that. Praise for this man at this point is simply a form of political correctness masking America's continuing incapability of dealing with its racist past and an unwillingness to deal with racism's current manifestations. Calling a spade a spade is not dancing on someone's grave. Get a grip.
  12. Speaking of looking past racism and bigotry for the greater common good, how's the Ron Paul Devolution going?
  13. It's justice enough for me to know that as an aging Jesse Helms looked across this country he saw that most of his racist and bigoted life's work had been an abject failure and knew that at most he was regarded, even by his peers, with disdain.
  14. We've still 7 hours yet to go!
  15. It's times like these that I almost wished that I believed in an afterlife.
  16. Like the ones your FreedomFighters built in El Salvador?
  17. Would that be the right to bargain collectively for benefits, wage increases and the like?
  18. Which part of the case is in question here? The union organizers aren't dead? They weren't killed by right-wing thugs? All of this has been fabricated by the "red menace"? The only thing at issue in the courts decision on the civil suit was whether or not the Coca-Cola Corporation was directly involved, which is totally tangential to this "conversation", butt-plug.
  19. Once again the quasi-religious fetishization of property trumps human need or democracy. But that's largely irrelevant anyway because in reality intellectuals, community organizers, and human rights workers get murdered for far less in Colombia.

  23. You seem remarkably well informed about this program for someone who hadn't realized it hasn't been located in Panama for 24 years. How exactly does that work?
