The key when poaching the good seats is to have a hot dog in one hand and a beer in the other. If they ask for your ticket, flash a "ha-ha, give me a break" laugh and keep walkin'.

Given these revelations plus Palin's energy "experience", I'm sure we're all looking forward to more Enrons and more closed-door energy policy "deliberations".

Mmmm...I just wuv the outdoors too! I wuv it soooo much! I just want to wuv it and hold it and squeeze it. Sometimes I just want to wuv and squeeze it so hard that its its head explodes and I kill it and I'm just standing there with its dead body in my arms and I'm covered in its blood and oil. That's how much I wuv the outdoors! I'm Sarah Palin and I endorsed this message.

The Bush one was funny 4 years ago. The new one? Well, I just can't abide anything that might be construed as painting the Obama in an unfavorable light. I'll look at it again after November.

you really should read at least the review then of the book jay mentions - he goes through a ton of examples of where differences crop up between various versions of the bible and shows exactly how they were intentionally changed by scribes intent on solving specific theologic arguments going on at the time of the translation - interestingly, the changes required in order to push forward the argument were extremly minimal, oftentimes only a single word. try 'Book of J', a translation of portions of the pentateuch by Rosenberg with an excellent intro by Bloom. demonstrates well the disparate sources used to construct the various narratives, and delves into the differing motives of both writers and redactors. These texts just reinforce my belief in God as it's so obvious that they were written by the Devil to test our faith.

End War?! Man, how the fuck are we gonna eat then?

Thanks for asking. Yes, there is, despite Reagan and his Latinazi henchmen's best efforts to kill them all.

Why the unbridled glee, Pee-pee? Are you really that psyched about the Palin/McCain ticket? At this point in the election season, I am truly baffled at why anyone (with any inkling of capacity for critical thought, that is) supports McCain. The (mostly) deafening silence from McCain supporters on the hard turn towards cynicism the McCain camp has taken speaks volumes on a "by any means necessary" foot-soldier type mentality in what could have been an above the board, issues-based campaign. What I'm hearing from you Pee-Pee and other McCain supporters is: "nanny nanny boo boo stick your head in doo-doo" with regard to these new polling numbers. That Obama could lose this campaign because he refuses to engage in similar pandering and poo-slinging is not a good thing for our political system as a whole. Do you understand this, or do you just not give a fuck?

All this talk about God... What about the Devil? You guys believe in the Devil, right? Demons? Imps? Succubi? Evil spirits? Hell? There is another side to all this creation, perfection, and love, correct?

That particular device tested really well in the focus groups. It's so you know she's seriously ready to be the President.

You want to play semantic games? Fine, I'll go as far as to say that it's open to some interpretation. Regardless, whether she means "Bush is sending our soldiers on a mission from God" or "pray that Bush is sending our soldiers on a mission from God", the implications are equally disturbing. In either case it's explicit that Bush is acting or has the means to act according to God's Will. The sheer fuck-upedness of that in itself should make most people want to wet their pants. But it raises even more important questions about how and where democratic principles and practices enter into the picture with a world-view like that. As a woman of God, will Sarah Palin then be acting in accordance with God's Will? As simply as I can put it, I don't want someone's personal understanding of their God and his/her/it's Will imposed over what should be (has supposedly been designed to be) the open processes of democratic governance. When politicians claim to be acting in accordance with or claim they want to act in accordance with their (remember us, the ones that don't believe in your God, but are citizens just the same?) God, they place their beliefs and their policy decisions above their duty to represent all of us. Not just the 51% dumb superstitious clucks that elected them. Is that clear enough? Any of this ringing a bell? High school civics? Liberal democracy? Hello?

It's already been posted on Spray two or three times in the last few days. You've seen it, no more games.

Do you disagree then with Sarah Palin's description of the Iraq War as a mission from God? If she said it: yes. Provide an full, unedited quote from a commonly accepted neutral source. Will this suffice? Or do you need a notarized transcript? Really, all this is pretty common knowledge now.

I think we can all agree, regardless of political affiliation, that Sarah Palin has no fucking idea what the Bush Doctrine is here. Which is okay (I guess) for the governor of Alaska (aka America's Arctic Extraction Ghetto), but certainly not for a VP serving under that ol' bag of bones.

Sounds like the same hair-raising, spine-tingling horseshit we've been listening to for years. I do hope they'll let her keep doing interviews, cause if this is what she looks like after extensive coaching for days on end, it's not going to look so good in any unscripted moments. For crying out loud, what's wrong with BLINKING!? I don't just want these people to blink I want them to think before they act. Fuck!

What's with the rash of them lately? As they are not subject to the same standards as journalism (and I do recognize this is also fraught with problems) or subject to peer review, they're pretty much worthless. Just so you know (not that you care) I won't be reading any posted here.

I'm surprised that American women are giving a boost to McCain in the wake of the Sarah Palin nomination. Then again, after what I've seen on MTV's The Hills, I'm not very impressed with American women. (The opinions expressed here do not necessarily reflect the views of Barack Obama, the Democratic Party, the American Left, secular humanism, or the Enlightenment)

Awww man, where's you sense of humor?
