It all seems very simple to me. Once we start torturing people we become what we hate the most. We lower ourselves to “their” level. We should not torture ANYBODY, EVER FOR ANY REASON. Civil liberties must extent to everyone always. We must lead by example. Closing our version of a concentration camp (Guantanamo) is a great idea. That place is a laughing stock of the world. Just the fact that it is in Cuba is the biggest joke. Don’t we have an embargo with Cuba? Simply because they will not bend to the US’s wishes? Then we go and hold “enemy combatants” there indefinitely which is a blatant disregard for Habeas Corpus, our constitution and our way of life. Why does the US have bases in over 140 countries around the world? World peace? Right….. I would put money on the fact that if we withdrew our forces from ALL Arab nations and Muslim countries….that the US would not be the main target anymore. Did anyone see the video of Osama Bin Laden in 1993 (I think) where he tells the US to take there bases out of Sadia Arabia or else? IMO that is all he wanted. So……why don’t we? Because of money. Well….money and greed are getting innocent Americas killed. Stop the insanity.

Well....since this is the the right wing nut job argument about why it is ok for Bush to listen in on your conversation without a wire tap....then you should be ok with it.....

Fuck! I knew it. Obama is a terrorist! After all, the US is the REAL terrorist, and these ILLEGAL wars are really terrorist operations, and Obama is just going to continue them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Obviously, you were sleeping through that part of history as most good republicans did. al Quaida attacked us on 9/11. Their leaders were in Afganistan. Iraq did not attack us. al Quaida leaders were not in Iraq when we attacked. Get it now? Of course not. Because then you would have to admit that you fell for a big lie and were as wrong as you could be. But you do not have the huevos to admit that. We are occupying parts of Afghanistan, conducting military operations there, killing people, including innocents. Considering these activities, we are the REAL terrorists according to your previous statements. And Obama is supporting these operations, so he is a terrorist, and all you who voted for him are terrorist sympathizers. What is worse.....the guy who "supports" or the ring leader himself Bush?

Is it as much as a bitch to harvest as say.....oil? Yes. Energy return on energy invested for oil is currently around 40:1 while for hemp oil it is less than 5:1. (and note: 1.3:1 for corn ethanol and around 20:1 for tropical sugarcane ethanol) Does that include the footprint left behind from getting and processing it?

Hemp Industrial hemp has many uses, including paper, textiles, biodegradable plastics, health food, and fuel. It is one of the fastest growing biomasses known, and one of the earliest domesticated plants known. It also runs parallel with the "Green Future" objectives that are becoming increasingly popular. Hemp requires little to no pesticides, no herbicides, controls erosion of the topsoil, and produces oxygen. Furthermore, hemp can be used to replace many potentially harmful products, such as tree paper (the processing of which uses bleaches and other toxic chemicals, and contributes to deforestation), cosmetics, and plastics, most of which are petroleum-based and do not decompose easily. Biofuels such as biodiesel and alcohol fuel can be made from the oils in hemp seeds and stalks, and the fermentation of the plant as a whole, respectively. The energy from hemp may be high based on acreage or weight, but can be low based on the volume of the light weight harvested hemp.It does, however, produce more energy per acre per year than corn, sugar, flax, or any other crop currently grown for ethanol or biodiesel. Henry Ford grew industrial hemp on his estate after 1937, possibly to prove the cheapness of methanol production at Iron Mountain. He made plastic cars with wheat straw, hemp and sisal. (Popular Mechanics, Dec. 1941, "Pinch Hitters for Defense.") In 1892, Rudolph Diesel invented the diesel engine, which he intended to fuel "by a variety of fuels, especially vegetable and seed oils." Industrial Hemp is produced in many countries around the world. Major producers include Canada, France, and China. While the Hemp is imported to the United States more than to any other country, the United States Government does not distinguish between marijuana and non-psychoactive Cannabis used for industrial and commercial purposes. Why is that?

Islam is hardly organized at all which may, or may not be part of the problem. I'm not a big fan of Catholics either--the world's largest cult, IMO. I have no problem with your mistrust of organized religion, but I haven't read about Catholics, Lutherans, Buddhists, Scientologists, Seventh Day Adventists, Baptists, Presbyterians, killing en mass lately. Have you? Not true Islam, right? Hell, even Mormons haven't put on a good massacre since 1857. Wow.....something we agree on.
