  1. YOU Gotta take'm all! I need someone to put his name on the permit (besides me). The Forest Service won't let me keep my name on 2 sets of permits, and my name is already on the other set (june 26th -30th). So, if you have any interest at all, please step up. You can then find friends to split the fee with, or sell individual permits.
  2. I have a permit good for 8 people. So far I'm all by myself. I'm OK with that, but it is a terrible waste of those scarce permits. If you are interested in backpacking, scrambling and maybe a little fishing, let me know.
  3. OK! I'm lowering the price to $100 for all 8 permits for the five nights of July 5th thru 9th. Someone has to step up and take them all and find homes for the ones not needed.
  4. Yes, I have a second set of permits for the Enchantments. (The ones for July 5-9th are still for sale as well). I am going to be hiking the Enchantments June 26th thru the 30th (five nights) all by my lonesome unless I find some hiking partners. My permit is good for 8 people. I'm going whether I find hiking partners or not, but if I don't find anybody to hike with, I will have 7 permits going to waste. I don't mind hiking alone, but it's a little more efficient and a lot safer hiking in a group. At this point, I'm willing to sell at least five of the permits (hoping that a friend or two will decide to join me). Let me know if you have any interest.
  5. Yes! These are still available. I need to get these sold ASAP.
  6. The MSR Blacklight is crap! It's light, but it hardly takes anything to scratch the non-stick coating. I had mine scratched before I even used it once. Once you've washed the pot out with pine needles a few times, it'll be worthless. By contrast, my aluminum Sigg Tourist cookset has served me for almost 30 years, although I recently had to retire the smaller pot because I finally wore a hole in it. There's nothing wrong with aluminum. If you must go high tech, try the anodized aluminum GSI set. It's much more durable and still non-stick.
  7. MountaingirlBC: I'd like to unload them all and let you divy them up. You probably have more friends than I do anyway. Besides, I'm too busy to f_ , I mean mess around with selling them individually. And......the Enchantments are cheap at any price. Who wouldn't pay $50 for a week in the Enchantments? Multiply that by 8 and you get $400! I'm just trying to recoup the $120 it cost me for all 8 permits.
  8. These Goretex bibs are in Excellent condition, really like NEW, and I'm selling them because they are too tight on my butt. They are blue, and have the full zip that goes all the way around the butt. Asking $100 obo
  9. This jacket is in Excellent/ like new condition. I found it was just a little too tight in the shoulders for me, so I went out and bought an XXL (that cost me $350). The color is red with some grey in the reinforced areas. Asking $150 obo.
  10. I'm selling a pair of North Face Goretex bibs. I hate to admit it, but XL is just a little too tight on my butt. They are in Excellent condition. I am asking $125.
  11. I just dropped the price to $60!!!!!!!! That's for all 8 permits!! I can't believe somebody hasn't stepped up and snapped up this permit yet. It's good for 8 people. from July 5th thru 9th You already know how great the Enchantments are, and how difficult these permits are to get. If nobody wants to go...... well, then these permits are going to go to waste
  12. I just dropped the price by $15 to arouse some interest. I thought it was a great deal at $225. Any interest?
  13. I just dropped the price by $25, from $125 to $100. I hope that helps.
  14. Specifically, I'm looking for Topo maps, National Park Maps, and road maps of the areas around Mt. Whitney and Mt. Shasta. I'm also looking for good books on climbing Mt. Shasta. If you've been there and done that, and want to pass on the maps and books, please PM me.
  15. Yes, I'm looking for a 3 liter pot to melt snow in. If you have an Alpine Guide cookset, I might buy the whole cookset. Otherwise, I could use just the 3 liter pot. Also: I could use a 10 inch fry pan.
  16. These Fila goretex full-zip bibs/ pants (with suspenders) are blue and are in great shape (like new!). They have a butt zip as well (full featured pants). These XL goretex expedition bibs are just a little too tight. Could they work for you?
  17. This XL North Face Goretex Mountain Suit is in excellent condition. I'm selling the jacket and bibs together. The price is for both the top and bottoms. They're just a little too tight on me. Unfortunately, in the North Face brand, I need the bigger size. (I guess it's easier to buy a bigger size than lose the weight). If you are in the Seattle/Eastside area, let me know if you'd like to take a look.
  18. I wish I knew how big my cranium is. Tell me: Is this helmet for rock climbing or mountaineering? Does it have something to hold your headlamp straps steady?
  19. I could use the slings, but I am going to be up at Camp Muir all weekend. Hold them for me and we'll talk on Monday. I'm leaving now.
