of course they do, in terms of the balance sheet. a government can for only so long spend more than it makes. same as any business. how to remedy this is quite obviously the contentious aspect.

as a fly on the wall, listening to the morning (or evening, or whenever) briefings at NYT or drudge or wherever, what do you suppose you would have heard?

i also think, jb, that had the fellow in spokane been an ayrab, or any other "minority", then yes, the media response would have been different. does this mean an active, conscious conspiracy? i'm not so sure about that part.

do you believe there is an active conscious effort on the part of media to suppress the reporting of domestic "terrorist" activity?

events like bombs planted in the middle of the public, which happened to be civil right marchers on MLK day. no. your position was that the spokane attempt did not get the media coverage of other similar events. i asked which other similar events?
